To eat the rest of this cheese with a glass of wine?

Have been chipping away at this block of cheese all evening in a 'I'm only having a tiny slice, so it's not like I'm actually eating it' kind of way.

But I can't sustain the denial any more. I want to eat the rest of the cheese until it's all gone. And I want to drink wine while I'm doing it.

Tell me it's ok.

what kind of cheese?

AgentZigzag · 24/10/2011 22:12

Woohoo! 1970's cheese and wine party Grin

Eat it, eat it until it is no more.

What cheese is it?

If it's brie YABU.

Thingumy · 24/10/2011 22:13

knock yourself out!

Yanbu!

WhereYouLeftIt · 24/10/2011 22:16

YABU, unless you also have nice biscuits - water biscuits, oatcakes - than you are being extremely reasonable.

madonnawhore · 24/10/2011 22:16

'Hello? Is that the 1970s? Sorry, I can't talk right now. I'm stuffing my face with good, old fashioned, mature cheddar. And it's lovely.'

SweatTart · 24/10/2011 22:20

Only if it's red wine.

If so, you have my blessing, my child.

Wine for everyone!

There should be a [cheese] emoticon.

That was so good I feel like having a post-coital cigarette. And I haven't smoked in 3 years.

Cheese is probably a Class A drug.

madonnawhore · 24/10/2011 22:27

Zigzag I cannot be left alone with stilton. Ever.

What pointy said.

ItWasABoojum · 24/10/2011 22:37

Damn you! I have a camembert in my cupboard. It won't be ripe yet, but now I'm going to have to eat some, and it's ALL WRONG!

AgentZigzag · 24/10/2011 22:46

What's The Cheesefreaks Consensus on babybel?

I can't work out whether my love of it is because I only seem to eat it when we're out/about, starving, have nothing else, which enhances the experience, and I'm not 100% confident of this assesment because I suspect I'm being a bit of a traditional cheese snob.

Confused
AgentZigzag · 24/10/2011 22:47

(I think I just heard your camembert wispering encouragement to you Boo)

winnybella · 24/10/2011 23:27

Oh, damn you, you reminded me of that last surviving bit of Roquefort in the fridge Angry

babybel is all right imo. Better than boring emmental, for example. Obviously not up there with all the greats but still quite good.

devonshiredumpling · 24/10/2011 23:31

anyone tried stinking bishop
