Asda and Sainsbury do soda farls in England,never found dromona butter here though. I miss the heel of a plain loaf,toasted under a gas grill, dripping with buter..drools.

major major Sad face here - yes can get fadge and soda in Engerland but NO VEDA OR PLAIN LOAF!!! 39+3 weeks pregnant here and my plain loaf craving has just re-activated with no hope of relief til after baby comes and me ma comes over with supplies. OOOH hopefully Tayto cheese and onion in the supply pack Grin

waitrose do the paul rankin soda farls as well as potato bread.

Sainsburys do mcerleans bakery in belfast stuff- think it's called Genius.

Off to study bakery goods of other countries.

i went to wales 2 weeks ago and had a full breakfast. it was just wrong without soda and tattie bread. wrong i tell ya.

there is a recipe somewhere on the web to make veda........................so a fellow norn iron person told me after an indepth coversation about what is missing when you don't live in Ireland. Think I need a food parcel or a wee visit to NI.
