AIBU to not want a workman to poo in my toilet?

CreamolaFoamless · 14/10/2011 14:00

Earlier today I was having my boiler serviced and two men came to do it.

The older man said 'can I use your toilet' , I said 'yes of course' and directed him to the bathroom. Thinking he just needed to pass water

But he had a poo in it! He was in there a good 10 minutes and has colleague was looking embarressed as we chatted.

It stank ! Really stank ...why do people think it's ok to poo in someone elses house

Would it be unreasonable to refuse workmen toilet access in future [hshock]

I'm using the term workmen because I don't know what else to call them

Bloody hell fortyplus!! I'd be wondering how long he had held that one in...sounds like it was painful to poo that out!! Shock

littlemisssarcastic · 16/10/2011 21:47

Are you seriously going to ring him Creamola????? Shock Shock Shock

piprabbit · 16/10/2011 21:48

Because he didn't know that you have a poo phobia it would be an issue.

Grin you're barmy
piprabbit · 16/10/2011 21:55

Are you really planning to harass this poor man about his toilet habits Shock.

You'll end up on the local trades blacklist and you won't be able to get a plumber/builder/electrician for love nor money - even if you offer special choccie biscuits.

fortyplus · 16/10/2011 21:58

I know people who genuinely believe that it's inconsiderate to do a poo at work because it makes the loos smell Wink

I, on the other hand, will bravely deal with logs lurking in my downstairs loo.

Us old folks are made of stern stuff! Grin

littlemisssarcastic · 16/10/2011 21:59

What exactly are you going to say to him Creamola?

Hello Mr Plumber..................................................

piprabbit · 16/10/2011 22:02

Hello Mr Plumber, when you poo'd in my toilet was it unplanned or did you squeeze one out on purpose to annoy me?

Perhaps you should warn him that forcing things can lead to piles.

littlemisssarcastic · 16/10/2011 22:03

I don't think he was taking the a piss tbh. Isn't that what this thread is all about? Grin

I used to work in a nursing home. One of the staff loos was conveniently located near the laundry room, it was nice and private and had a decent window so well ventilated. We had a mad laundry worker who would literally fly at people when they left the loo if she thought they had dared to poo in there.

One of the chefs (female) used to poo in there on a regular basis, fair enough imo.

The laundry lady could not let it go, we had it mentioned under AOB (haha) at every staff meeting. My male boss was utterly bemused. He had to try and keep a straight face while she wittered on about smells. She claimed it was a health and safety issue that people should not poo in there! From time to time a notice would appear "short visits only" but they were disregarded.

To be honest, I spent a lot of time in that home giving enemas, and dealing with the end results, so someone doing a poo in the staff loo didn't faze me at all.

onepieceofcremeegg · 16/10/2011 22:13

I remember my boss and the laundry worker actually raising their voices in the meeting on one occasion, he yelled that "toilet smells are not a health and safety issue"

We wasted endless hours debating the merits of extractor fans and related topics.

Where I work now people open window/use air freshener. Lots of people poo but no one leaves evidence (apart from a slight smell on occasion). I have never heard any of my current colleagues be rude enough to make a comment about who may have just used the loo for its intended purpose.

CreamolaFoamless · 16/10/2011 22:25

Are you seriously going to ring him Creamola?????

yes because I believe in karma and shit , and If I've been fretting over his toilets habits for 2 and half daand ys he might being now feeling blocked up regretting he pooed in my toilet

i will phone him and I will face my fear and ask did you poo in my toilet on purpose

doinmummy · 16/10/2011 22:27

I haven't read all the posts, but someone wrote about 'poo crumbs' What the hell are they ???

pigletmania · 16/10/2011 22:29

oh dear there is no hope Confused

LostInTheWoods · 16/10/2011 22:35

Creamola, I think you should ring him.

It'll give him an absolutely hilarious story to tell down the pub.

mummytowillow · 16/10/2011 22:35

Grin you are joking aren't you!! If the poor bloke needed a poo, where did you suggest he went!!

I understand its not great, I wouldn't be thrilled but if he had to go, he had to go!!

nooka · 16/10/2011 22:37

Of course he pooed in your toilet on purpose! What an absolutely bizarre question to ask someone. Why on earth are you imagining that he regrets his poo, he's probably not given it another thought, like most normal people. If you have really been fretting over this for over two days then you have the problem. In fact I thought that you had acknowledged that you did have some sort of phobia and were thinking of doing something about it.

usingapseudonym · 16/10/2011 22:40

Having felt some sympathy for cremola if it was a genuine phobia... I'm now thinking its some single bloke on the wind up! What a great laugh, get those mums chatting on a forum. You'd think there'd be better ways to get a laugh?

CreamolaFoamless · 16/10/2011 22:55

go and take a breath usingapsuendoymn

so you think Im a guy

well you are touched

and this was never about having a laugh ............it was me asking if was unreasonable and apprantly I am

OP posts:
Bogeymanface · 16/10/2011 23:47

Unreasonable is not the word I would use.

Mad as a box of frogs? That would be more appropriate! In all seriousness, i tihnk it might be an idea for you to seek help with your issue about number two's! Going a whole week because it isnt your own loo (not toilet, please) isnt just a bit bonkers, it could make you ill. You do know thats not normal dont you?

Andrewofgg · 17/10/2011 00:44

usingapseudonym Why should piss-takers necessarily be (1) male or (2) single?

In any event I don't think anyone, regardless of gender or marital status, could act as bonkers as Creamola obviously is - no, she is genuine.

I want to hear how the phone call goes . . . if it goes.

Seriously, OP, if there is some corner of your mind where the sky is blue and the sun rises in the east, don't do it. Just don't. Please.

CreamolaFoamless · 17/10/2011 00:49

i didnt not poo out off choice ..........i just couldnt poo in a strange toilet

OP posts:
CreamolaFoamless · 17/10/2011 00:53
