So, bought a LittleLife toddler backpack off company on Amazon, except it's not a LittleLife backpack, it's a FUCKING DEATHTRAP. Cheap, flimsy nylon with cheap, flimsy handles so the little one can run off when it snaps near a busy road and FUCKING KILL HERSELF.... Have so far ranted to Amazon, LittleLife and actual company, who were quick to offer a full return and postage, I fucking bet they are, I wouldn't want the evidence hanging around either, cNUTS. Rant over. I still want to fucking kill them though, bastards

This is interesting. I recently bought a Sophie Giraffe teething toy from Amazon and I'm certain that was also not the genuine article, rubber peeled (I know the spots fade on real ones), not the same as the 'real' ones my friends children had. Not good at all. Generally though, I've always found Amazon fine, so it's a shame if they are selling fakes.

I know Hungrydragon, it's not even like it's cheap enough to make you smell a rat. If I didn't have an original on loan I'd be dragging her around in it like the half dead zombie mum from hell I am wondering why I can't pick her up in it like the reviews say I can without her bouncing down the stairs cause it fell apart in my hands

Yeah but doesn't it suck Cassettetapeandpencil that you know they'll take it back and sell it to someone else. And I'd soap and water if I were you, I had half a ton of garlic today (I know, it gets better, foul mouthed and I smell strong enough to fell a rugby team Grin. We've got one of those fiorentina and it's never done that, can you send yours back?

I also have a Sophie Giraffe Fiorentina which has had good wear and tear from two teething DC and it has not peeled...

The spots have faded and it looks a little grubby but otherwise perfect.

Gee, it's not good to think that Amazon might be selling fakes. I buy a lot of stuff from them.

If someone from Amazon happens to see this thread please look into it!

We bought the ladybird one from Jojo Maman Bebe, not so much for the strap but just because the rucksack is cute Blush. I had noticed that they were cheaper on Amazon, I'm glad we didn't order from there in the end. That's a bit worrying if Amazon sellers are selling counterfeit goods, I hope they investigate thoroughly.

Yes, but that is still through Amazon isn't it?

So still would be in Amazon's interests to investigate as reports of counterfeits on their site doesn't do their overall business any good surely.

I would think twice before going on their site to purchase anything if I felt what I receive may be fake.

And if Amazon don't do anything it will look like they are colluding with an illegal and dodgy practice...

I agree BootyMum, I think it should be up to Amazon to verify their marketplace sellers and ensure that only genuine goods are being sold on their site.

Is it possible you have just received a dud? dd's LittleLife backpacks have been fab.

Quite right to demand a full refund though, in light that it's a safety issue.

Did the swearing help? Amazon aren't bad. I think you would have got the refund anyway.

Hmm, have just looked at there reviews left by customers. They look a bit dodgy to me. Not at all genuine.

Hope you get somewhere with this, OP

I did get a refund from Amazon although didn't highlight I thought it maybe fake, just complained re the quality of it being so poor. In hindsight I should have made a bigger thing of being concerned vs other Sophie's but it seemed a bit petty. I was just pleased to get money back to be honest at the time.
