To wonder why platform skyscraper shoes are STILL in fashion....

If I was a fashion designer I would look at what was currently fashionable and IMMEDIATELY do the opposite! ie, right now I would be making kitten heel, definitely non platform shoes. In white. Or whatever.

Also, there are very few of those shoes that do any favours to anyone's leg shape. The platform looks clompy on most, the equivalent of wearing a padded dress as opposed to a chiffon dress.

At 4'10" I adore platforms and despise kitten heels, so I'm quite happy.

Kitten heels have the dastardly effect of making you look like you have fat ankles.

Platforms are easier to wear than normal high heels as the platform takes some of the height. They are also more comfortable underfoot.

I agree though that if you are not careful nude platforms look like hooves.

Yes, I can see if you are smaller then you would love platforms but I'm thinking of celebs of all heights really, who are all wearing the same footwear. It just looks like uniform.
