Oh god yes - I love Wow Wear. I want a Wow Wear outfit to wear to my office Christmas do.

However, I do prefer the more natural look.

My face throughout the whole of the programme is Shock

TalcAndTurnips · 10/10/2011 22:43

There's also a burgeoning Extra-Terrestrial section in my local High Glitz pageant.

It's worth mentioning the perils and pitfalls of wearing so much make-up at such a young age - vigorous application and removal every weekend can lead to the distressing but common condition known as Facial Erosion; where the facial features are quite simply worn away.

TalcAndTurnips · 10/10/2011 22:56

Oooh I know, I'll dress up mah little gal to look like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman...

... before she has the makeover.

ZombiesAtYourCervix · 10/10/2011 22:58

I threaten DP that I'll do this to DS DD one day. I probably won't although I used to put DS in pigtails to see what he'd look like as a girl...

I admit to enjoying it. It is a bit train wreckish, but somehow I find it compulsive to keep watching once I start.

Hey - it is no worse that what is happening in Irish dancing competitions these days!

Wigs - check,
false tan + lots of makeup - check,

v. expensive costumes - check,
stage mommies - check,
lots of pushing practice to make perfect - check,
etc...

I don't think the flippers have made their way into Irish dancing yet??

TalcAndTurnips · 10/10/2011 23:31

No - but in Irish Dancing they have SOCK GLUE!

(Although I'm fairly sure that some bits of pageant competitors are actually stuck on)

MCos · 11/10/2011 18:19

Ha ha, that's right.

uggmum · 11/10/2011 18:23

I am compelled to watch it every week. I just can't help myself.
The mums on it are complete nutters. I loved this week with the Mum that is training her dd to be a good wife and look after her future husband. Her dd is only 2 Hmm
