Oh I agree about moreish

ImperialBlether · 10/10/2011 10:11

Oooh good question.

Sorry, OP, but "make your teeth itch" is one that I reall hate.

Also:

  • I'm liking (if ever there was a phrase that indicated you have no knowledge of grammar, this is it)
  • Enjoy (that puts me off my dinner if a waiter says that)
  • Lil (reminds me of the early chatrooms for some reason)
  • Moist (disgusting word)
DharmaLovesDraco · 10/10/2011 10:11

Nom, nom, nom - I hate it and it makes me want to punch something (usually the person that has used it)

Moist

LMAO

I am sure there are many, many more.

ImperialBlether · 10/10/2011 10:11

Oh and when people say "OMG" or "LOL."

chinateacup · 10/10/2011 10:11

Twinge
Gutted

FourEyesGood · 10/10/2011 10:25

Devastated (when used about something more trivial than, say, a death)
Hopefully (when used to mean "I hope" instead of "in a manner full of hope")
Pedant (when directed at me) Grin

MonaLotte · 10/10/2011 10:42

Onus
Pithy
Ickle
Nippy
Pokey

harrietlichman · 10/10/2011 10:42

awesome, bonzer, wicked 'well' instead of very or really (well annoys me)
man-shape, OMG, and 'you know what?....' before being told something (I think Posh Spice uses this affectation.) Drives me bloody mad.

ImperialBlether · 10/10/2011 10:46

Oh yes, manshape is awful. Sorry, I know why it's used, but it's really, really awful.

Thingumy · 10/10/2011 10:47

Fanny.

MonaLotte · 10/10/2011 10:48

Tog (for quilts and duvets etc)

Thanking you

Hun or Chick or (worst of the worst) Shugs

Anyone calling a magazine a book. Especially my IL's calling the TV guide from the newspaper the "telly book"

TakeThisOneHereForAStart · 10/10/2011 11:13

I forgot some.

Chillaxin' - SIL puts this as her facebook status a lot.

ReebleBeeble · 10/10/2011 11:37

For me its;
Criminality (or any other word ith -ality at the end made up by polititians)
gusset
Poo, stool or faeces (its poop in our house, I dont care how much the nurse at the docs laughs at me)
Hun/hon (especially when I dont know them)
And technically not a word but I HATE when people put kisses at the end of posts or statuses (ie: Burt Reynolds is having a nice cuppa xxxxxx) Fuck you, and fuck your kisses.

IvyAndGold · 10/10/2011 12:03

Oh god, yes, when people say how they're feeling with '.com' at the end. What? Just... what??

TakeThisOne, I am WITH you on people calling magazines books! I have only ever heard it from members of my family from the West Midlands. Is it the same for you?
