To think womenkind are a truely nasty species

I saw two mothers at a church group with babies who were roughly six months. One of them was bottlefeeding and had decided to introduce solids at 3 months, the other was still exclusively breastfeeding at 24 weeks. The lady who had introduced solids was very vocal about her decision to introduce solids and was suggesting that the other mother was somehow starving her child by delaying weaning. The mother who was waiting to wean was equally nasty and told the other woman that she was wrecking her baby's health by stuffing it with wallpaper paste.

I felt it was sad that here were two women who were both insecure and it was sad that they could not agree to disagree on parenting decisions. It was sad that they could not at least try to be friendly. The world would be a boring place if we always agreed.

It is sad that many women respond to bitchyness with more bitchyness.

Made my day that has. Biscuit flowers! Biscuitflowers!!

Thingumy · 05/10/2011 18:22

INeedAHipHoperation · 05/10/2011 18:24

Salmotrutta · 05/10/2011 18:51

Oh I'm liking Troll Biscuit Flowers!!! - can I use it too? (at an appropriate moment of course) Grin

RIZZ0 · 05/10/2011 18:53

This is just clumsy.

FabbyChic · 05/10/2011 18:55

My colleagues baby is 12 weeks old, her GP has just told her to try him on rusks and baby rice because he needs it.

GrimmaTheNome · 05/10/2011 18:58

Her GP should satisfy his strange food fetishes and 'needs' elsewhere Shock

INeedAHipHoperation · 05/10/2011 19:05

You be my guest, Salmotrutta! Gems like that ought to be shared with the world. It's only a pity there's no emoticon for troll.

LineRunner · 05/10/2011 19:07

Go Fabby!

WhatmeWorry It is well known that the plural of anecdote is data is genius. Is it your own?

LineRunner · 05/10/2011 19:09

'Gender not a species' - Miss Jean Brodie, she knew that. And she was a virgin; and the OP's been hanging out in the Church of the Poisoned Mind.

Pagwatch · 05/10/2011 19:10

I think the op is a regular poster so probably not trolling.

Perhaps having a bad day?

I took the piss but am feeling a bit sorry for the fact that it has got quite snarky.

Are you still there op? Are you having a shity day?

Hullygully · 05/10/2011 19:12

yes reg.

Must be a great church

BatsUpMeNightie · 05/10/2011 19:13

Wasn't there a similar attempt at a BF/FF bunfight not two days ago?

GrimmaTheNome · 05/10/2011 19:14

yes - I don't think this is trollwork, just an overreaction to a couple of deranged overwrought mothers.

Pagwatch · 05/10/2011 19:16

Yes. Perhaps an over reaction?

When I say "the world has gone to hell in a handcart" I usually don't mean it

GypsyMoth · 05/10/2011 19:27

Op done a runner??

GrimmaTheNome · 05/10/2011 19:32

I wouldn't blame her TBH. To some extent (not to the extent of speciation!) the thread confirmed her point

pigletmania · 05/10/2011 19:39

YABVVVVU, thats a broad and sweeping statement based on witnessing two ladies having an argument. I know some lovely ladies so you must be looking in the wrong place.

pigletmania · 05/10/2011 19:39

No not a troll reallytired is a regular on here
