To absolutely hate horse manure on the road.

I practically followed the manure home this evening. Dotted along the country roads and into the housing estate. (?)
If you ride, do you go back and shovel it up afterwards or leave it? They leave it here. :(

Sorry for the hijack. Blush
*So, that is why, we ride side by side, and drivers have to lump it

Says it all really.*

Yes. It says that we REGULARLY have our live endangered by stupid reckless driver. So we have to inconvenience people in order to guarantee our safety.

Horse shit on the road doesn't bother me but horse shit along the cycle lane and footpath do!

Also the idiot that rode across the village green today knew full well that the horse had shit beside the little ones swings and laughed it off when told??

Us dog owners have to bag it and bin it, why not the horsey set?

Saggyoldclothcatpuss.

It does say it all. Thank you for confirming.

Information shared by horsey owners can be interesting if you ignore the aggressive, we were here first, before all towns/ houses/ cars, fuck you all defensive edge to some posts.
I know nothing about horses and horse riding. I think that sometimes people assume everyone shares a love of horses and appreciates what is involved.

Sorry if I was agressive, but it gets you like that sometimes. People see a horse, and its in their way, and they take risks, they dont see someones loved one sitting on it.
Horse owners do get stroppy sometimes, it comes from being treated badly by people who dont own horses.
I may be on horseback, but I pay road tax too! And if I could dismount, sweep the shit off the road and get back on safely, I probably would, but its more likely Id get run over by a juggernaught in the process!

Too many drivers are selfish t, I am always nearly getting killed riding on my local country road. I always wear hi viz and now have to carry a 6 foot long lunge whip which I stick out into the road to keep the psycho drivers away from my precious horse. I think this is a slightly more important thing to get worked up about than a bit of harmless eco friendly horse poo on the road :-(

I love horses, unfortunately i'm allergic so couldn't have lessons as a child. Have my allergy under control now but can't afford lessons! Anyway to the point. . .

A couple of years ago i was on a driving lesson with FIL and we came upon 2 horses and their riders (one in front of the other I might add) so I slowed right down to a crawl and gave the horses a wide berth and FIL actually said to me 'You don't have to go that far across or that slow you know' I was Shock and said I did as you never know how a horse will react to a car coming past from behind them! He was Hmm.

Just remember, the horse came before the car, and without these magnificent beings, we would probably all be under a facist regime! And don't say we are anyway!
