To absolutely hate horse manure on the road.

I practically followed the manure home this evening. Dotted along the country roads and into the housing estate. (?)
If you ride, do you go back and shovel it up afterwards or leave it? They leave it here. :(

I like the smell of curry

SoupDragon · 29/09/2011 21:50

"at least horse poo is grass."

No, I'm fairly certain it is shit.

ElectricSoftParade · 29/09/2011 21:51

I don't mind horse shite .

I don't have a horse or feel especially fond of them nor do I have a car. Or something. There does seem to be a quite a bit of horse poo around my home. Are they coming to crap around my house as I am not fond?

Conundrumish · 29/09/2011 21:52

I think the clue is in your OP, love. Get back to the city if you can't cope with horse dung. They don't eat meat you know, it's not like cat or dog poo. For me the mark of a 'proper' village is cow and horse dung in the road. YABVU.

Usual - "You can't diss the horseshit on MN ,thems the rules"
I had absolutely no idea, my sincere apologies to the horsey community on MN.
So, in a matter of moments, I have been informed it's fine.
Is it okay if I disagree?!! :)

I think loving horse shit is a step to far...it's shit after all

However there's nothing can be done about it so best not sweat the small stuff

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 21:53

Pinkpanet. You presume.
I live in a large commuter town.

No Kitty ,no one is allowed to dislike horseshit , dog and cat shit is fair game though

oh and you will be told to get out of the countryside and back to your evil city ways

Andrewofgg · 29/09/2011 21:54

Before the invention of cars towns smelt of horseshit!

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 21:55

Agree Worral- it's not keeping me up all night! :o just wondered that's all.

OP posts:
KittyFane · 29/09/2011 21:56

CristinadellaPizza · 29/09/2011 21:57

I live in a small town now surrounded by fields and there is very little horseshit. Where I lived in London, the Met used to ride their horses down my street every day so there was tons of it so you can't assume that manure comes with a country lifestyle

usualsuspect · 29/09/2011 21:58

seen it all before [old and somewhat jaded Mnetter]

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 21:58

All together now, and to the tune of the Pastoral Symphony:

The country, the country, the country gets you down.
There's nothing like the country to make you want the town!

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 22:00

Usual- I've missed all of the manure threads, I'm off to do a search :o

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 29/09/2011 22:00

theres been a few Grin

ElectricSoftParade · 29/09/2011 22:05

To be fair, the horse poo around here does seem to hang around for quite a while thinks of the nearly fortnight old mound we dodge round every morning on the school run.

But, I do find it less offensive than a great big steaming dog turd. Also, do you have to let the horse poo "mature" or do you just sling it straight on to your garden?

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 22:05

Pink They don't eat meat you know, it's not like cat or dog poo.
Is a vegetarian dog's poo ok? My neighbour has one. (a vegetarian dog that is)

Go and find where the horse lives and shit in its stable. That'll learn it.

KittyFane · 29/09/2011 22:14

Finding many a horse manure thread on 'horse and hound'.
A whole new world has opened up for me.
