BeribbonedGibbon · 11/01/2012 13:09

Perfect Jins!

I shall enjoy it muchly

Hullygully · 11/01/2012 13:22

A plate of plain iceberg lettuce for me please.

BeribbonedGibbon · 11/01/2012 13:28

Lettuce? Really?

You must fancy something more substantial surely?

This 'I'm a lady' malarkey is not washing with me love.

Hullygully · 11/01/2012 13:35

How are the dds doing these days?

BeribbonedGibbon · 11/01/2012 14:01

How funny, I was just going to post asking you the same thing!

All good thank you Smile DD1 got the primary I was hoping for and is loving school. Her confidence has grown so much and she is doing really well, I couldn't be happier

DD2 is adorable and cheeky in equal measure. 18 months now! walks around dictating and saying 'mine' then flashes the cutest smile and says 'cuddle?'

I look tired most of the time but nothing new there Wink

How are DS and DD? fill me in on all their news Smile

Fiderer · 12/01/2012 08:09

Ladies, I have had an application for the post of Chef. Without my lorgnette I cannot read what is on his "apron".

Mind you, his peculiar attire may prevent any running off with the Hall spoons as may happen with another applicant.

Hullygully · 12/01/2012 12:46

That first one would be in danger of fat spattering on his chest. The second I fear we couldn't trust not to make off with the posset.

Gib - the dc are fine, thanks. DS is 14 and doing GCSE stuff (aggghhh), he is still lovely and sweet. Dd is 13 and hates us all.

BeribbonedGibbon · 12/01/2012 13:18

Grin Fiderer

Ahh hullster, I fear all my teenage dramatic door slamming and cries of 'No one understands me!' will come back and bite me. DD's have a way of really feeling being a teen don't they.....

Am hoping Pag will drop by and fill me in on her news too Smile

Hullygully · 12/01/2012 14:21

yy I need an update on ds1

Jins · 12/01/2012 16:02

Afternoon tea ladies? Or am I a bit late?

I've been busy booking flights and such for our travels this year. It's DS1s last summer holiday in school so we're off to Gay Paris. I've spent a few hours looking through package holidays and decided that I'm no longer a package holiday person. :(

Well my bank account isn't a package holiday bank account. I just haven't got £4k for a fortnight in some apartment in Crete that will end up being like the one in the Inbetweeners movie. Aren't things terribly expensive at the moment?

DS2 bumbles along without a care in the world. Motivation isn't his strong suit but he's kind so can't complain. DH appears to have stopped 'improving' the house for now which is a relief.

I'm braving a trip to that London next month. Do I need a visa nowadays?

sybilvimes · 12/01/2012 16:12

The second applicant definitely looks very shifty Fids. The first is easy on the eye but I am concerned that his apron is disappointingly small.

I am feeling the New Year blues, is it time for a little trip? Perhaps somewhere hot enough to require oa siest

sybilvimes · 12/01/2012 16:13

or even a siesta.

Hullygully · 12/01/2012 16:30

Wasn't the Inbetweeners movie funny? Silly, but funny.

Ooo Paris will be good, I have rellies in Paris (fortunate) so free accommodation when I go. Tho haven't been for ages.

Yy everything VAIR expensive. All of life entire.

I like the idea of a siest.

Jins · 12/01/2012 17:33

I loved the Inbetweeners movie but I loved the series even more

Hullygully · 12/01/2012 17:51

yy

Pagwatch · 13/01/2012 10:30

Ds1 was at school with the main inbetweeners guy - different years of course.
He did their end of year speech. The school usually have politician or posh types. Ds1 said it was fab and very funny.

How are we all?

Hullygully · 13/01/2012 10:43

wow! my dc will be seriously impressed.

How is ds1 doing?

Pagwatch · 13/01/2012 11:57

It is a good vicarious brag isn't it?

He's ok. Still a bit battered but back at uni and trying to immerse himself in studies for a bit. We are going to see him in a few weeks. See if that helps or hinders...
But he is going to start dating sarahs dd so that's good Grin

Hullygully · 13/01/2012 12:08

huzzah! bless his little cottons.

BeribbonedGibbon · 13/01/2012 14:49

Everything ok with DS1 Pag? and Pagboy and DD of course Smile

and v impressed re imbetweeners guy

Pagwatch · 13/01/2012 20:57

Sorry Gibbon, you lovely thing! I have only just seen your post - so nice of you to ask x
He is fine. Just homesick at uni and split with his girlfriend of 3 years on Christmas eve which proved to be quite a blow. He is ok though. But goodness, I thought I worried before but now he is away from home I get very angsty.
We skyped tonight and he looks and sounds fine. So all good.

How are things with you my sweet?

BeribbonedGibbon · 14/01/2012 23:06

Hello my lovely checked in before turning in and glad to hear from you Smile

I can imagine you are worrying more now he is at uni and you're not seeing him everyday, for such a loving mum I bet that's so tough. Sorry to hear that he broke up with his girlfriend, at Christmas too...poor DS Sad

DD's are great Grin DD1 getting braver and more confident all the time, such a relief DD2 doing fab and starting to really show her personality which is lovely Smile

DH lovely as ever but wishing he worked in anything other than banking as it's mega stressful at the mo and I look older and more haggard than ever Grin

BeribbonedGibbon · 14/01/2012 23:07

God, I do love an essay and a smiley don't I Blush

JustHecate · 15/01/2012 09:08
