I am in fear of an unstable black hole being created in the cellar. And please do not let cook get anywhere near Maidens nor Nediams, or she will boil 'em up for stock.
I am in great need of a posset and any sweatmeats that may be on offer. the teleporter is installed and functioning in the herb drying shed and may be of use to you Mistress Entropy.

Hullygully · 16/11/2011 19:44

Welcome, Miss Entropy.

We, the Ladies of the Hall, cordially invite you to partake of a light posset with us and tinkle on the ivories or perhaps speak a little French, whatever pursuit your accomplishments might lend themselves to. We are At Home most Thursdays, unless we are not.

Yours graciously,

Lady Hully

and the rest

entropygirl · 16/11/2011 20:10

Thank you for the offer of the herb shed teleporter however I have heard tales about those contraptions. A dear friend of mine once arrived to an inaugural ball entirely sans under things .

entropygirl · 16/11/2011 20:14

Apologies for the mess.

I will have my man clear it up!

Hullygully · 16/11/2011 20:19

gracious, I have never seen a Phaeton of its ilk afore. is it Furrin?

entropygirl · 17/11/2011 14:36

Good day ladies,

Anyone for a little afternoon tea? I brought these.

Fiderer · 17/11/2011 15:48

Good day, MissEntropy. Gosh, I can see you will liven things up around here. Please bear in mind the best tatting lessons take place in the distillery herb-drying shed. We occasionally sing filthy sea-shanties uplifting hymns as we tat.

I do hope you were all careful down in the cellars. There are still a few souvenirs from the Transylvanian adventure locked up. Though the howling and clanking you might have heard was most likely Cook on one of her "stock-taking" excursions. Take care not to fall over the empty bottles.

Whmf, mumf, gromf, gulp

entropygirl · 18/11/2011 00:02

I turn my back for one fan fluttering moment and this is all that left....

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 09:26

All that intergalactic travel hasn't done much for Cook's baking skills. I asked her to provide us with some light dainties for afternoon tea and she produced this cake.

Hullygully · 18/11/2011 10:05

Wow that is one amazing cake. I particularly like the bottle of vodka tisane in the background which must have been essential to the creative process.

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 10:38

It must indeed take a certain type of mind to come up with such an offering.

Enough to make one not want to go down to luncheon but have something light on a tray in one's room.

Jins · 18/11/2011 11:51

I don't think I'd like to see it cut up. I am far too sensitive

joins fids in a light lunch in my room with a vodka tisane

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 12:40

Yeuck, Jins, you're right. It'd ooze

I am resolved to be more circumspect in future perusing google the Encyclopaedia in the library. I shall make a start on the shelves where there appear to be many well-thumbed novels. The Gels have obviously some favourites. One appears to be about a jolly Gamekeeper. It could be of use given our interest in the upkeep of our grounds and the welfare of our staff.

Jins · 18/11/2011 13:00

Well fids I have just followed you lead and am quite frankly shocked at what the gels have been reading.

One of the more well thumbed novels is the biography of a gentleman known only as Walter and quite frankly I find it unsuitable

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 14:16

This Walter?
Or is that Cook's brother? I'm sure she lets him sleep in the outhouse sometimes.

entropygirl · 18/11/2011 14:35

Oh that's the cooks brother? I mean of course it is....what else was I thinking .

I must get me a proper gentleman soon! I am increasingly tempted to demean myself with the men below stairs.

Jins · 18/11/2011 16:34

Line up the tisanes and possets

I have a headache.

I swear I will never stray from the halls again, tis not right out there

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 16:40

Apéritif?

Jins · 18/11/2011 16:44

Oh it's sooooo pretty

sybilvimes · 18/11/2011 16:50

ooh Miss Fids, that is very sparkly champers.

There is one shelf in the library which I feel is essential to a young girl's education. The texts belonged to Mr Rochester originally I believe but his leg indicated that he didn't mind others perusing them when I enquired. I understand he acquired some from forrin parts.

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 16:52

Those roses look a little wilted. I must have a word with the Under Gardener. He has never let me down with wilt before.

Fiderer · 18/11/2011 16:55

Excellent, Miss Syb. Gymnastics, callisthenics and deep-breathing exercises.
