So, took baby dd to London today. Had people falling over themselves to help with pushchair up steps, apologising for nit seeing me and helping sooner, making lovely comments about how well we were doing, how nice it was to see bf in public, offering their seat because it might be better than the o e i had, sharing stories of their dc and just being amazing. I would never go anywhere I couldn't manage by myself but it is so lovely to be offered help. Thank you London!

So nice to hear a positive story about London and people in general being nice and helpful.

Glad you had a good trip

I've found the same, much more when I'm pushing a pram.

Completely and utterly agree. I don't live in London but family do and every time I go with ds I get help and I don't always get the same elsewhere.

I agree most people are fab, the NHS is amazing and are schools are mostly staffed by dedicated people.

I hate the moaning people are so rude nowadays, and the world was much better in my day.

Agree totally

I've always had people offer to help me with the pushchair in London too. It has a bad rep because the sheer number of people make it seem less friendly and more anonymous, but really it's not much different to anywhere else. And a lot of what people see as rudeness is just obliviousness, I think. I like to think that you're right though, the majority of people are happy to help.

Pah! I meant I hate people moaning that people are so rude today and the world was much better in my day.

i used to travel from from north to south quite regularly, getting the tube from euston to waterloo with a baby and a toddler on my own and there was never a time when someone wouldnt help me with my stuff. I was always so grateful
