AIBU to book tickets just for myself?

I really want to see the Strictly Come Dancing tour live. The tickets are fairly pricey and no one I know wants to go. Is it insane to want to go by myself?

My mum guilt tripped me into going to see westlife... Does anyone owe you one? Grin

No its not insane to go by yourself. When the lights go down no one there will notice either. No ones birthday or Christmas present you could get a ticket for? As an alternative to going by yourself?

yanbu
but.....why not start a thread and see if someone else on here is in the same boat

I just got my lonely ticket to go and see Adam Ant in December. I went and saw Alice Cooper alone last halloween.

If I waited for someone to want to come with me I would miss a lot of things.

I go to gigs by myself if nobody else is interested. Go, and enjoy it. Everyone is there to watch the show, not mingle with each other, so you will be fine.

squeakytoy · 21/09/2011 22:09

Aw Xales, I could have gone to see Alice with you.. I went to that on my own too Grin

I am going seeing Motely Crue by myself in December because no bugger wants to come with me.. :) .. I dont care, I will happily drool at Nikki Sixx on my own..

MCos · 21/09/2011 22:21

Perfectly reasonable! Would be a pity to miss out on something you are really interested in.
I went to Alvin Ailey dance show on my own during our holidays this summer. DH or DDs were not interested to go, so off I went on my own. I really enjoyed it and was glad I went.

So buy your ticket, and go and enjoy!

I went to see War Horse all by myself in London last year and it was brilliant. I do what I want when I want now and have a good time doing it.
