I've been poised with someone I know to employ 'I'm sure you didn't mean that to sound as rude as it came out' Grin

I rehearse it before they come round Grin

bakeyouhappy · 14/09/2011 18:58

I have lurked too much when I start to talk about posters. "Dh, agentzigzag said x" or "today, on mumsnet..." Yikes

worraliberty · 14/09/2011 19:02

I mostly walk around town with a face like this >>>> Hmm

Even when I'm happy Grin

Kayano · 14/09/2011 19:03

I just started a thread about this in chat Grin

bakeyouhappy · 14/09/2011 19:06

Kayano- is that thread police by stealth? :)

The first thing I ask DP when we finally have a chance to have a conversation
"Did you see the thread about...?"

carabos · 14/09/2011 19:10

Out at friends for dinner on Saturday, I mentioned something I'd read on MN (it was relevant to the general topic of conversation). Group went silent and changed the subject Blush. Note to self.....

Kayano · 14/09/2011 19:14

No it's not thread police by stealth! I hate thread police! Sad

I just had really created one like an hour ago kicks you Grin

mummymccar · 14/09/2011 19:23

I've been starting a lot of conversations with 'today on mumsnet....' recently. Blush

bakeyouhappy · 14/09/2011 19:31

ouch!
Seriously though, I live in the US, and have begun to refer to trashcans as bins, diapers as nappies, and moms as mums. People think I am nuts. I have a bad lurking problem.

surfandturf · 14/09/2011 19:40

I talk to myself in my head in MN speak. I.e. " I must ask DH to pick up some milk on his way home". I also woke up the other morning with LeBoF in my head. What's that all about? Funny thing is I haven't been on MN as much recently as I've been so busy!!!!!

RedOnion · 14/09/2011 19:45

Grin at bakeyouhappy - that is funny!

AgentZigzag · 14/09/2011 19:55

You're lucky surf, I woke up singing the Fireman Sam theme tune yesterday morning Sad so think on...
