To think a certain insurance company can fuck right off?!

I took out public liability insurance with a well known insurer, as I needed it for the job I was in. 4 days later I was bullied out of the job so cancelled the insurance working the 14 days they had given me to cancel it.
They cancelled it the same day I rang, but sounded pissed off about it, so I also cancelled the direct debit, just incase. The cheeky bastards took the money out anyway! I got my bank to take it back.
Today, I received a letter telling me it had successfully been cancelled, but I owe them around £107! For less than 2weeks of cover, the fucking insurance cost £160 for the entire year, cheating gets!
AIBU to send them an abusive letter, telling them to piss off?

Nearly right. All insurance companies can fuck right off.

Check your cancellation policy in your documents. There should be a cooling off period (probably 14 days) where you can cancel without fees or retaining premium unused. If there is no cooling off period it may be worth speaking to the insurance ombudsman as it (as far as I can remember) is required by the fsa.
