So the magic sliding doors on those wardrobe ads aren't magic at all...

Just seen an adverts for Sliderobes - fancy-schmancy wardrobes with doors that swoosh along and close behind their happy owners, hiding all the clothes....

And as I peer at the screen I see "doors are operated manually" at the bottom of the screen in 0.8pt Arial font.

What a swizz! They are very clearly swooping along their runners automatically in the ad. Harrumph.

It's not just those sneaky mascara ads "filmed with lash inserts and enhanced in post production" that we need to be on the watch for.

Hmm

You know all the doors on Star Trek which whoosh closed were actually operated by stage hands?

Perhaps the solution is to purchase Sliderobes and hire a brace of young whippersnappers to operate them for you?!?

I've heard of Star Trek, my mum told me about it.

Meant to post in Chat

Shit :)

It's not like you can reach into the telly and buy one, whilst handing over the money at the same time, to find out later that you've been misled.

If they shut on their own, how would you avoid being trapped in one? they would have to have sensors on and would never pass H&S, or they would have to be electric and would cost the same as a lift.

Why am i even thinking this through Confused

YABU, adverts are meant to be attention catching.
