TheCrackFox · 08/09/2011 19:22

I am going to sound like a right old fart but enjoy it while it lasts.

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 19:28

heronsfly · 08/09/2011 19:36

It has lasted in our house, dds 2&3 age 12 and 14 are sprawled on my bed watching a dvd, and both of their beds has a cat asleep on its pillow !

TheDetective · 08/09/2011 19:39

FreudianSlipper Perhaps the cat simply misheard you, and thought you mentioned the mouses basket...?!

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 19:39

Actually laughed out loud at the mental image- then got a bit sad Grin

FabbyChic · 08/09/2011 19:41

Thats gross that a cat sleeps in your babys bed, they are the greatest harbingers of fleas.

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 19:42

TheDetective get your coat...

OP posts:
SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 19:43

FabbyChic mine haven't got fleas, don't go out side and eat considerably less crap that they find on the floor than dd. Technically they should be disgusted to sleep in her bed...

TheDetective · 08/09/2011 19:45

Can't SouthernFriedTofu, the cat is sleeping on it Grin

:) made me chuckle

my cat has not got fleas. though he does lick his bum and licks our feet

JonahB · 08/09/2011 19:48

Sounds about normal to me. In cat's mind: warm? check. enclosed? check. nice and soft for my delicate torso? check. a suitable place for my precocious, grandious tendencies? check. perfectly legitimate location to snooze as this entire house is actually MINE. ALL. MINE? check. Grin

Teaandcakeplease · 08/09/2011 19:49

YANBU Grin

Envy that you have a cat though, I grew up with them but can't have them in my top floor flat where I live now really.

scuzy · 08/09/2011 19:51

bit grossed out about a cat sleeping in moses basket.... no matter how much they are part of the family they are animals. they lick they're arse ffs!

scuzy · 08/09/2011 19:51

*their

TheDetective · 08/09/2011 19:57

To be fair, humans do just as gross stuff...!

FreudianSlipper · 08/09/2011 19:58

the moses basket became his bed, ds moved to mine

now we all share :o i love being woken up by ds then the cat having his share of hugs too, he usualy snuggles in the middle to remind ds he was around first

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 20:06

Um scuzy could I kindly direct you to this thread if you ever have a stuck poo.

Lest you be under the impression that humans or indeed your fellow mumsnetters are not equally as gross as cats

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 20:07

One of my cats has taken to sleeping on my head lately! Last night the other one dragged a folded double duvet cover off the bannister and slept on it - still all folded up. And hairy. Tut.

x2boys · 08/09/2011 20:07

I bought a beautiful very comfortable kingsize bed last xmas me and dh have spent about three nights since then together in it usually contains at least one if not both my children sprawled out and me sleeping on the edge and dh in one of the childrens beds

SouthernFriedTofu · 08/09/2011 20:11

I had a head sleeper! but he was a kitten who had been seperated much to young from his mother and woudl snuggle up and suckle your hair! :(

Dh took to wearing a rasta hat (with hair) his mum brought him from holiday to bed and I had a showercap. What if we had been robbed in the night!? Grin
