I won't use real scissors, but as she's blonde, I might have to dye her hair Wink.

I want to dress 3yo DD as an Oompa Loompa from the 1971 Willy Wonka film, y'know - orange face and green hair etc but DP says it would be mean.

louby86 · 06/09/2011 20:27

That's brilliant!!!

LordOfTheFlies · 06/09/2011 20:37

Save the hands, knit a green& red sweater, get a scabby brown hat - hey presto Freddy Kreuger

Sookeh · 06/09/2011 20:50

That is too cute!

I'm dressing 8mo DS as Freddy Krueger, black and red striped onesie, little hat Grin

DD won't let me dress her anymore, she's going as a "beautiful pwincess" apparentlyHmm Grin

ChablisLover · 06/09/2011 21:02

Cool!

zelda1982 · 06/09/2011 21:06

I hate the fact my kids are wusses. They want to be princesses or "fairy devils" (2 years running) I want them to be zombies/vampires/witches/ghosts etc Thats the point of Halloween isn't it?

zelda1982 · 06/09/2011 21:07

I used to go halloween singing in a black bag and a cheap mask and hat. Grin

LordOfTheFlies · 06/09/2011 21:15

My DC are Hallowe'en fanatics and are quite obliging when it comes to dress up.
Last year DS was the Grim Reaper and DD was Evil Doll .

The only rule is : I have to be able to make the costume and they need to be able to run/play/go to the loo Grin

chunkythighs · 06/09/2011 21:18

My DS (3) wants to be a fairy princess.....I don't know if it's mean to go through with it or not......

maras2 · 06/09/2011 21:37

22 years ago boy Maras won the prize at a Halloween fancy dress as Edward. He was 4.Go for it, she'll look stunning.

Empusa · 06/09/2011 21:45

YADNBU!

I'm pregnant and threatening to make an Alien chest burster costume. The first Hallowe'en after baby is born they will be dressed like this Grin

TheLadyEvenstar · 06/09/2011 21:48

DS2 wants to be a "Zombie monster with knife hands and a gun in his head" such a delicate boy I have!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 06/09/2011 21:50

CT Take a look at my photos on here, you will see DS2 last year age 3 wearing his tutu and wings which he insisted I buy.

chunkythighs · 06/09/2011 22:47

Grin He's gorgeous!!! You've convinced me!

aldiwhore · 06/09/2011 22:48

Not only are YNBU, you absolutely ROCK for contemplating it...

devonshiredumpling · 06/09/2011 22:51

i think anything to make them cringe when they bring their first boy/girl friends home and you bring out the piccies is just fine

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/09/2011 00:15

CT thankyou I have to say I agree Grin and he does look rather cute in his tutu and wings. It was even better when he then teamed it up with a skeleton outfit, cowboy hat and a pink to buggy to go trick or treating Hmm
