you usually spend when you pop to the Co-Op on a Monday afternoon when you've run out of milk, and end up seeing a few other bits you need, then DS1 asks for a magazine, then you remember you wanted stamps, etc. I just want to compare and see if I'm spending too much on these outings. Thanks.

I do this all the time. Go for milk, spend £20 and forget to get the milk

We don't have a Co-Op nearby. Will ASDA do? If so, then around £30, about £25.00 of which is on stuff we could live without.

I try to stay away from supermarkets inbetween shopping, otherwise i pop in for milk, bread etc and end up spending about £20 on bits i can do without.

I use the local corner shop, which isnt so tempting.

Managed to pop to the co op for salt today and only spend 48p. This is a first for me, would normally buy a hot sausage roll, bottle of wine and other essentialscat the same time. Normal spend over £5

Typically £10 on reduced price bread, berries, a packet of toilet rolls, some clever thing for my box of last resort and some milk.

£20ish but very rarely i do. Thats why a big (if you have space) delivery comes cheaper.

Did you go near the alcohol aisle?

I buy just what I go in for. Looking forward to the day I can casually pick up a bottle of wine or buy crappy educational magazines for the DSC.

Haha! my mum does this. She pops into sainsbury's for some bread and milk and comes back hours later with about 3 shopping bags full. So....she's started sending my dad. He comes back much quicker and having only spent about a fiver (usually buys cat food, some kind of posh breakfast item, and some orange juice) but only remembers the bread and milk about half the time.

I didn't mean it about the scratchcards.

About £10. Sainsburys usually, which handily has the magazines tucked in a corner.
