Maybe it will make her more attractive.

jenniec79 · 04/09/2011 19:51

Not mine, but I once saw a kid in A&E who swallowed 14 of the things. He needed xrays to check they were going through ok, as we worried they'd stick together between loops of bowel, but he passed them fine in the end. I'm sure one is going to be fine.

just dont let her go near any tellies for the time being

FredBare · 04/09/2011 19:56

sniggers at her being more attractive

TheOriginalFAB · 04/09/2011 19:56

This is so not the right topic for this!

Get her to A & E. She is old enough to know better ffs.

ihatecbeebies · 04/09/2011 19:57

Birdsofshore There is also a risk if the child swallows a magnet and swallows something that would react with the magnet too, like something metal.

Take her to hospital, better to get these things checked out just incase as it is very dangerous.

TheGhostNotMe · 04/09/2011 19:58

I would take her for an xray to ensure she did only swallow 1. 1 isnt too much of a problem, 2 or more can be very very dangerous

ownthreadhider · 04/09/2011 20:01

May phone NHS Direct then.....

Erm... or if she's wearing anything metal? Belts, jean rivets for example if the magnet's strong enough?

I don't really know but I'd err on the side of caution and call NHS direct for advice. IME they always send you in anyway.

ownthreadhider · 04/09/2011 20:55

We are here and it's packed Hmm.

Magnet swallowed = A&E unfortunately.

PercyPigPie · 04/09/2011 21:34

If you are not already there, go to A&E. Those magnets are very strong and call pull through intestine causing all sorts of damage and internal bleeding.
