  1. The people who decided to dig up the road outside the school for 2 weeks just as term starts.
  2. the garage who want to charge me £400 for a new clutch.
  3. the government for charging me £215 to tax my car.
  4. my HR director for introducing a bloody finger print recognition system to get into the office Hmm which doesn't work so it takes 10 mins to get into work ....and then out again ...

I could think of more but actually I am just too cross....

Raargghhhhh!

Thankyou

Have of one of these Wine Cheers, and that'll be one fifth of bottle of non-decanted vino rough rouge @ £1 + VAT @ 17.5% + Service Charge @ 10% + sundry dish of 5 peanuts £1.50 + compulsary contribution to staff party + rent of seat at bar + % of annual upkeep of seat + use of ladies + + + - tell you what, I'm feeling generous - let's call it a tenner Wink

backwardpossom · 31/08/2011 23:02

£215 to tax your car Shock What are you driving a limo?

Clutch ouch.

On the upside if a computer can't recognise your finger print you may get away with robbing a bank to pay for it all. Grin

YANBU.

My car costs £90 for 6mnths 51 plate peugeot 307 only a 1.3litre. I hate tax

keepingupwiththejoneses · 01/09/2011 01:46

I agree with the car tax, my dh drives a 51 plate 1.3l daihatsu £120 for 6 months.

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 01/09/2011 01:55

I can do you a nice Brew for a fiver, OP. Or, just for you, a glass of Thames Best for a bargain £2.50 Wink

MrsRhettButler · 01/09/2011 01:56

yep, my tax is £118 for 6 mnths Angry

well i think YABU because its not fair that you can afford to do your whole year in one go! Grin

CheshireDing · 01/09/2011 02:26

OP do you play the guitar? We have this fingerprint recognition and a couple of people it doesn't work for and its because their prints are worn down due to twanging the strings (so to speak).

Salesman told me the other day that the little Kia's are £30 per year, or free if you get a 1.0L to tax. Slightly offset by the fact that you have to buy a brand new car though I think!

milkmilklemonade · 01/09/2011 05:01

CheshireDing-also clouded by the fact you would be driving a Kia!

DrewsGirl · 01/09/2011 05:37

i agree the whole world is getting more and more unreasonable, when i learnt to drive 4 years ago it cost me £30 to fill up now its over £60!

youarekidding - :o at robbing a bank, and i drive a ford fusion and its £215 its not even a family car :(

Op, i heard on the news a few days ago companies are going to get charged for doing road works at peak times to encourage them to do it at night, now theres a tax i agree with!
