It will not rain. Hope you all have a lovely day and congratulations to your DD and DSIL

Gonzo33 · 26/08/2011 15:51

Awwww sending warm sunny vibes your way.

I hope it is a fabby day for you and your daughter (and the hubby to be of course)

bubblesincoffee · 26/08/2011 15:53

Isn't rain on a wedding day supposed to be lucky?

Or did I just make that up (or get lied to) because it rained on the morning of my wedding?

Ryma · 26/08/2011 16:05

Just make a wish for sunshine :)

camdancer · 26/08/2011 16:15

It rained on my wedding day. We had a break in the rain for the photos but it rained most of the day. I can't say it spoiled the day at all and we've been married 13 years so I think it was a good omen.

eurochick · 26/08/2011 16:22

I got married this weekend last year. It was touch and go with the weather all week but on the day it was dry for my journey to the venue, dry for the drinks after the ceremony, seriously hoofed it down while we were inside having the dinner but the ground was dry again by the time we came to leave. The ground was very wet though - I am grimacing in some of the photos because I was standing on tiptoes for ages to stop my heels getting stuck in the grass!

I hope your daughter will have similar luck!

LaWeasel · 26/08/2011 16:26

joins in the dance

We got married in January and it did rain a bit - seemed totally unimportant.

coccyx · 26/08/2011 16:30

Rain, rain go away, come back another day.
Hope you have a fabulous time

grovel · 26/08/2011 16:34

MrsDBouquet · 26/08/2011 16:36

Hope you get your wish for some nice weather tomorrow.

Many congrats to DD and Husband-to-be !

I had the PERFECT weather for MY wedding, snow !

antshouse · 26/08/2011 17:21

Fingers crossed for you here too. What part of the country are you in?

sausagesandmarmelade · 26/08/2011 18:16

I think rain is supposed to be lucky for weddings....

But...hoping for lots of sunshine for you all...and a fabulous day!

Am needing a bit of sun too....to ripen my tomatoes. So fingers crossed!

Pakdooik · 26/08/2011 19:10

Hi All

Thanks for your good wishes. It's still raining so maybe there'll be none left in the morning.

We are in the SE in supposedly the driest county

Andrewofgg · 26/08/2011 19:47

All the best whatever the bloody weather!

marriedinwhite · 26/08/2011 19:54

fingers and toes crossed - let's pray for sunshine but not too hot - 20 years ago all the flowers wilted at mine - the buttonholes were such a sorry sight in the photos.

pointydog · 26/08/2011 19:58

It really doesn't matter what the weather's like. Enjoy it!

didyouseewhatshedid · 26/08/2011 20:43

Just checked a few weather sites. It's gonna piss it down in the South East. Sorry OP.

Pakdooik · 27/08/2011 09:34

9.30 - so far so dry. Wish us luck!
