Just seen this at side of MN, and am a little disappointed about what that says about Mnetters? I love my holidays with my kids and tbh they have never been in a creche, so seriously as MNetters we think lifes ok as long as we canleave the kids behind somewhere Hmm

What makes you think the adverts represent MNetters? Confused

They don't, they just pay for the site.

Rowena8482 · 24/08/2011 22:14

Not seen that one (I've never seen any of the ads in threads lol, I think my brain just blocks them out, it's a Gift I have [grin[ ) but it does sound like someone somewhere thought it was a good idea but slightly missed the point. It'll be because we have a lot of wine and cake and stuff, and seem to be complaining about kids a lot, to the untutored yts boy at ad agency with no kids and who has never ever even spoken to anyone under the age of ten since he was ten himself eye, they think we all want to dump the kids.

You're not a lone parent coping without help or support, are you Lisa? :o Wink

(And yes, I do appreciate that this doesn't apply to all lone parents nor am I speaking on their behalf. Just mine!). :)

lisad123 · 24/08/2011 22:20

well if thats the case, they need to put "lifes a beach as a lone parent, aslong as theres a creche" Grin
I wasnt saying its wrong to use them, and certainly wouldnt care if anyone did, but just find it a little off, especially on a parenting site! Yes we all moan about our kids on here

LemonDifficult · 24/08/2011 22:24

YABU.

Although you sound very nice and a lovely parent.

ChumleeIsMyHomeboy · 24/08/2011 22:26

I think it would benefit you greatly to not worry so much about shit like this! Read it, dismiss it as nonsense and move on. Truly - do yourself a favour!

well im hardly going to lose sleep over it, I know its hard to know with words on a screen, but really its not a stress, more of a tounge in cheek thing. What ever happened to the light hearted threads on MN? Wink
