to consider that most threads on MN can be answered by the OP googling something, or just thinking it out for themselves?

It's not too much to suggest, is it? Instead of mithering all of cyberspace..just a thought.

I sent your impressive find to DH HopeEternal, and he found an estimate that said by today there will be aproximately 2,031,307,875,000 pages on the net, so you did well to find the last one Grin

Bit confused by the 1969 - 2011 copyright it's got on the page, how'd the 1969 year fit in if t'interweb wasn't thought of then?

If I was a sad twat maybe I should google it...?

ReindeerBollocks · 26/08/2011 21:21

YABU - just answering the OP.

I had a very serious situation with DH, and needed answers immediately, but without making me more traumatised by the situation. MN was an amazing life line, which provided me with answers and support without scaring me senseless.

Sometimes it's laziness but at other times I think MN and it's personal touch is far more useful than google.

Damn I took a thread seriously again. That'll learn me Grin

I always find this link helpful in such situations:

I think the point of the thread went well west ages ago tbh.Grin

It's now just an esoteric stream of consciousness sort of thing...

I had marshmallow in my coffee today, now where's the dog gone...

At least put something interesting into the link Emma Wink

(good for teaching an important internet lesson at the same time)

Suncottage - sorry I didn't answer your other questions - I'm not quite sure about the Nobdies, I think it started as a "nobody knows who I am" type of thread but with a spelling mistake so it came out as nobdie, I think - but happy to be corrected.

IPOAT - does not stand for "I pissed on a troll" (although that's a good alternative Wink) but stands for Insane People On A Thread - I started off as part of it but couldn't keep up! Blush I'm pretty sure it started on the Literary AIBU threads and diverged from there into its own area, which is when I gave up.

Honeydragon · 27/08/2011 00:51

Nobdie was a spelling mistake the stuck... You are correct my friend.
