It's not too much to suggest, is it? Instead of mithering all of cyberspace..just a thought.

Scorpions scare me rigid, along with soldier ants (bad film experiences when faaarrr too young, I'm sure).

Snakes - meh. Although I wouldn't want to tread on one, obviously. We have a pic, the three of us, with a 20' python draped across us all. It was cool!

Pan · 26/08/2011 12:55

ah yes soldier/red ants that swarm all over you and eat you in seconds. Had lots of starring roles in B&W films.

I held a snake...I have faced my fear. Therefore I am now fully at liberty to go

aaaargh! ------------->

(especially when I do nearly tread n a 6 footer in the middle of no where )

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 12:59

Snakes!

[faints]

coraltoes · 26/08/2011 13:00

Tha ones I love a the "am i pregnant" threads. Wait and do a test!! We can't aswer it for you!! Fine to share symptoms etc but why ask as nobody knows especially over the net!

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 13:00

Them's the ones, Pan!

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 13:02

Actually, we get pretty big bull ants over here. We didn't realise but we parked next to a nest once and when we got back to the car there were these ants everywhere - and they were up to 1.5" long!! With great big jaws...
I had wondered what the 1" diameter holes were in the ground, just thought someone had been poking a stick into the ground. Now I know.

Pan · 26/08/2011 13:03

Trrrrussssthhhh in meeeeee, juuuusssttthhh in meeeeee!

OP posts:
Pan · 26/08/2011 13:12

btw did you realise it's the same voice-actor that does Kaa the snake AND Winnie The Poo??

youarekidding · 26/08/2011 13:13

There are loadsa fucking spiders everywhere atm. I went into bathroom last night for before bed wee and it nearly went down my legs when I saw the giant spider just sat there watching.

And 'twas big - even by my standards - and I use to live in Tenerife so have trodden on seen some biggun's.

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 13:13

Comes round from faint.

Snakes!

[faints again]

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 13:19

I did not know that about the voice of Kaa and W-t-P, no. Thanks Pan.

Honeydragon · 26/08/2011 13:20

Figures.

I have issues with both.

  1. He's a snake...... not Paul fecking McKenna. Stop singing and get straight to the constricting you daft slithery twat.

  2. Pooh? Wtf is it with Disney? Who gets dressed in a T-Shirt and then goes out with no pants on? It's rude. That's why Pooh speaks like he does. He's always got a chest infection from walking around half naked.

meh

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 13:27

Honeydragon

Same as Donald Duck - walks around with just a jacket on yet when he is pictured coming out of the bathroom he has a towel round his waist. Hmm

HopeEternal · 26/08/2011 13:29

Spiders I can cope with. Scorpions not so well. Snakes - EEEEEEEEEEEKKK!

I shall return to the last page on the internet if this discussion continues.

I found MN by googling something & getting a thread on MN as one of the top answers.. Even now I often get MN threads turn up; how does that sit with the theory??

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 13:45

Nah, we're onto inappropriately dressed Disney characters now. I have to agree re. Pooh and Donald Duck - I mean, with Pooh, if you need to dress him (since he wasn't in the AA Milne books), why just a t-shirt and no shorts? Why not shorts and no t-shirt? Are a bear's upper parts ruder than his lower ones? Confused

Duck, I can understand more - he wouldn't want to get it wet when he swam in the pond.

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 13:58

Thumbwitch

I have never seen Donald Duck in a pond. He lives in a house.

Also Superman. He is the Man of Steel who can deflect bullets etc. Why then, if someone throws a chair at him he ducks?

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 14:03

Perhaps to save the chair? Wink
Have you seen Megamind? The superhero, Metroman, just stand there and lets Roxanne throw sound equipment at him and it just smashes. Now that's cool. Grin

DD may never have been in a pond but lots of other dressed cartoon ducks have so I guess they just followed the pattern, no?

What I want to know is how Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck keep those shoes on!

callmemalcolm · 26/08/2011 14:03

agree with pan

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 14:12

Thumbwitch

We are getting a bit deep and pondering now.

[Puts chin on hand and stares into nothingness]

Thumbwitch · 26/08/2011 14:19

you mean you're not on the Shineypenguin revisited thread as well? I'm hooked in...

Honeydragon · 26/08/2011 14:19

callmemalcolm

Agree with Pan about what Confused Pan can't agree with himself on this thread and was last left behind on the spiders tangent.

Suncottage · 26/08/2011 14:28

Thumb

What is the Shineypenguin? Also what is Nobdie and IPOAT.

Justdon'tgeddit.

Sad and left out.
