DS's dad won't let him join the choir

DS is in the school choir and wants to audition for the church choir. His father however says he can't possibly do so as he will develop a side mouth. AIBU in saying this should be DS's choice as 11 years old?

I was always a bit suspicious of the choir master who used to keep telling me he could give ds lifts if he joined the choir Ds didnt want to,he prefered the x box at the time

Think of it this way. If he turned round one day and said our son wants to say get 8 piercings on his face and him and your son is happy about it but you aren't what would you do. would you put your foot down and he would have to accept that you were against it.

Because thats basically what is happening. doesn't matter if it is irrational or not you should both agree on something rather than overall each other.
