I am just so !

I'm 23 weeks so it's not a 'yay, I POAS and got a BFP' thing.

I just feel like this is the start of something amazing! It's such a miracle, actually making a new human being. It's literally all I can think about and I don't care about anything else - career, hobbies, friends even, selfish stuff like holidays and new clothes, they can all go sing because I'm pregnant !

AIBU? Am I hiding this total elation well enough day-to-day that my work aren't going to sack me, my friends aren't going to ditch me and my DH and family won't think I've cracked up?

I'm just so happy! Does every pregnant woman feel this amazing? It was only sex fgs, but look what it made!

Felt pretty crap most of the time although excited for the birth. Pregnancy and me were not a good match....

To be fair, I had awful sickness until about 18 weeks so I think it's a bit of a delayed reaction, I'm finally loving it!

I had no idea it'd be like this though. I worry that I'm doing a Myleene, ie acting like I'm the first woman ever to get knocked up. I find myself looking at women on the train in wonderment that they have most likely been here, done this and are just being normal !

I feel like I've grown up and all the crap I used to worry about just no longer matters.

i felt wonderful when i was pregnant. first 12 weeks very tired then i felt great, had lots of energy, was more disciplined than ever with what i ate and my hair and skin glowed

was the hardest time emotionally (worked with ex and he was so horrible to me) but actually being pregnant i loved and felt wonderful adn loved all the fuss made over me

Dare I say you may be a little BORING to others around you though? I know someone who felt like this at work and its all she ever went on about- those of us who had also been pregnant in the past and not acted like the only woman its ever happened to just had to grin and bear it...so what im saying is enjoy it, blather on about it to the exclusion of everything else at your peril!

And fgs please dont bring a book/baby clothing range out!!

i was a total pregnancy bore, luckily my friends loved me enough to put up with it, they would tell me from time to to and still they love me

im almost 30 wks and am constantly tired and look like crap.. but .. i feel like angelina jolie, mother theresa and hiedi klum in one now that i have a big beautiful bump to rub like aladdins lamp i feel so sexy, empowered, fertile and just bloody proud of myself i feel like im in a wee members group where other pg women and i are making secret handshakes and knowing smiles!

i adore being pregnant!

I still look at my almost 9 year old and think wow, I made you so never mind holding a newborn!

YANBU. I hated being pregnant, was very ill with both boys and had so many scares with DD that she wouldn't make it that I spent the whole time on edge. But one of my best friends is 8 months pregnant with her first (and they have been trying for years, whilst being very indulgent godparents to my DC) and I am so excited for her that I could burst. I have decided that it is much more fun watching other people do it

I spent the first week with both of mine just staring at them and saying to DH 'look what we made! How cool is that?!'

Caveat - I am still feeling rubbish a lot of the time - I slept on the sofa with the cat last night and only for about 4 hours so I'm shattered today, just couldn't get comfy.

But emotionally and logically, it's just amaaazing!

I can't wait to hold him in my arms, I honestly can't. I have never wanted or loved anything this much, ever.

I had a bit of a crap childhood so I think a big part of it is the feeling of being reborn, the chance to make someone's life happy, to be loved unconditionally.

what a brilliant positive post! :) YADNBU! I also felt like that, some of the time at least, but ended up having a nightmare with the baby born at 24 weeks. Luckily he is just about ok now but it has ruined the idea of pregnancy for me, any future ones will be filled with the dread of knowing how many weeks I am, the fear of how far i'll get and whether or not the baby would survive.

Soak it up now and glory in it, and bottle it up for the nights where you're exhausted, DC is screaming and has just thrown up over every clean item in the house!

I remember feeling like a pregnant goddess IN EVERY CELL IN MY BODY in my first pregnancy.

In fact I had the sense of being nothing more than a walking womb for months on end.
