the colour is all to do with the logo - when it was designed, the man showed me quite a few colourways, and I liked the purple the best (even better than the green! ) and so everything's purple now

nickelbabe I just caught up with this thread - I feel you pain! I am a independent retailer as well. Sometimes my jaws hurt from gritting my teeth I get lots of people in who demand a very particular product and get profoundly offended when I don't have it (in my 400 sq ft shop... )
Some people just want to be unpleasant. Your shop sounds lovely.
