I've just found out a girl i work has being calling me a stuck up cow for going for a private scan and i think i'm better than most as NHS scans are not good enough for me... I'm so annoyed about it! I'm thinking about saying something to her as i think she is totally out of order.

I went for a private gender scan and am planning on another about 30+ weeks to get it in 3D, I feel it's well worth the money you have much more time to see everything, see it on a big screen, can have family with you and the machines are much better than our hospital we even got a dvd for the rest of the family which everyone has loved! This treat was for my 25th birthday the next will be a joint xmas pressie to each other i don't think thats stuck up at all just personal choice and the fact we have the money as we don't drink or go out much. Part of me thinks it's jealousy

Would you say something?

I had that off SIL because my mum and gran clubbed together so I could have an independent midwife. Other SIL was also pregnant at the same time and had a nightmare with the NHS antenatal care - different midwife everytime, being rushed through her 10 minute appointments and not being able to get an appointment when she had a concern she wanted to talk about!

Its none of her business, next time she says something to you say "Well I don't think that having a private scan makes me better than anyone else, but you obviously do so thanks for the compliement!"

How does everyone at work know you are going for private scans? I wonder if you're talking about it all a bit too much at work and she's just fed up with it..... I used to get v fed up of "baby talk" in the workplace!

Not that she's in the right mind - she's still rude.

How unkind! You are so lucky to be able to afford them, I would have dearly loved one. I imagine they are a great way to get bonding off to a good start. There is absolutely nothing stuck up about it. Good luck and enjoy every minute.
