to want to invite the Croyden 'riot girls' to spend a week with me; running my business

They reckon its the 'business people's; them rich' who are at fault whilst they quaff their stolen rose wine and they want to show 'them that we can do what we want' ...

I'd love to have them with me 24/7 for a week, educate them then reinterview them after.

AIBU to think that I would not be wasting my time

SirAlan, I think that would be a good idea.

GretaGip · 11/08/2011 20:19

Yup, it's a good idea.

But only if they're willing to give 110%.

GypsyMoth · 11/08/2011 20:20

as long as it doesnt turn them into 'slebs'!!

They need an education and I would be more than happy to give them one for a week; I have played out their innane commentry several times over the last few days and as I'm only a few miles from Croydon they would feel at home

nothing to lose is there?

Iggly · 11/08/2011 21:14

YABU

It's Croydon not Croyden Grin

SirSugar · 11/08/2011 21:18

I know, I Know; often get confused as I used to work in place with croyden in the name Blush

Iggly · 11/08/2011 21:22

I did get annoyed when the BBC spelt it wrong - only because I'm originally from croydon (but not a looter!)

CognitiveDissident · 11/08/2011 21:23

Buggrit.

Iggly beat me to it...

AKA The Cronx Grin

CognitiveDissident · 11/08/2011 21:24

Fellow Croydonite + non-looter here too.

mayorquimby · 11/08/2011 22:04

do you work at a euthanasia clinic?

(only joking)

Iggly · 11/08/2011 22:05

Grin the cronx Grin

CurrySpice · 11/08/2011 22:05

Nah, I don't want them here in my business interrupting my MNing and online shopping work

WibblyBibble · 12/08/2011 09:27

YANBU. They'd probably do your job better than you, and it's obviously not that hard work if you're twatting about on MN anyway.

AlpinePony · 12/08/2011 09:48

Tbh I think it's exactly what they need. Total "immersion" in a different, more positive lifestyle rather than once a week month 1 hour contact with an "outreach worker" before being dumped back in to whichever depressing, hell-hole estate/family they're normally with. :(

AbsDuCroissant · 12/08/2011 09:55

YANBU, particularly if your business is something like sewage-drain-giant-poo-clearer-outer. I'd like to see them handle that with a rose induced hangover. Mwah ha ha

discobeaver · 12/08/2011 11:51

The Cronx :)

I haven't heard this interview, where can I find it?

Is rose wine the quaff of choice then for today's rioter? Seems rather genteel, I would have thought voddie or Special Brew (which was actually made for Winston Churchill, can you believe?)
