Are you scared of what might happen tonight? How can it be controlled? I am more than a bit scared of what will come from all of this.

I'm not worried as I'm on the Wirral and there's nothing here, but I wouldn't be surprised if birkenhead tried to join in. Chester train station had police at the gates and the 4.30 train was packed, unusually, so I think people were trying to get out of the city centre ASAP despite therenot being any rumours or anything. Riots in Chester sounds unlikely though .

Friend has spoken to the police who have said they are expecting something to kick off around 8 too. Doesn't seem like rumours if it's from the police.

Complete counrty bumpkin here so not worried for my family but so sad and angry for anyone caught up in this.

have had it confirmed from my BIL too, it was his mum that told him as she works in Asda down Pill.
My mum just rang to check DH got home okay, said she didnt ring earlier in case I panicked!

I think realistically it could kick off everywhere there are twatty people who think the world owes them living and so can help themselves to anything they please. I hadnt realise they were looting peoples houses,how frightening for everyone. Whay ever will be next? People helping themselves to your leather jacket or nice pram when you are out?

Pill has been cordoned off. Six police cars running red lights with sirens on Cardiff Road heading Pill way about half an hour ago.

The retail park was threatened earlier, so they have riot vans there ready apparently.

Still no confirmed news. Would imagine that if there were actual riots anywhere near anyone I know, there would be video footage on FB?

I just don't understand it. It's not rioting. It's fucking idiots stealing shit for the sake of it. I wanted to join the riot clean up for Manchester but I'll be working tomorrow :(.

10 minutes from DH's work the police are expecting a big shopping area to be done. I will be 4-5 hours away from DH and I don't want to go now.

DS was in Oxford last night, and only later did we notice that the McDo in London Road had been torched. We were in London. Not a sign of trouble. I say we all get on with it and don't let our lives be shut down.
