Something about weddings perhaps. Or mad neighbours.

Or leaving a preemie while you go waterskiing.

Share your memorable AIBU topics if you feel like it.

I miss beesimo too. I think that was the last time I REALLY laughed on MN. It seems like everything got sensible after that.

Is the Sharon/wine thread the one where the OP was sleep posting ? That was a good one. She couldn't remember what the post was about the next day.

Also enjoyed the cool box mystery.

I happen to know that until the beesimo debacle MNHQ was just a bunch of ladies at a habitat kitchen table flicking through Boden catalogues checking on threads now and then when they got up to put the kettle on for a cup of organic lemon and ginger tea.

But they had to wake up and smell the coffee. Now they sit hunched over screens, chain smoking and waiting for the troll klaxon to go off. Followed by automatic deletion. Zero tolerance. It's the only language they understand.

Sue the hotel in Scotland ? Yes, that was good. Does anyone remember what it was called ? Or is that slanderous now ?

youarekidding · 12/08/2011 19:02

I spent far too much time and energy on the hotel chain thread. It was the one time I stayed up late and couldn't leave a thread. I was actually embarressed after about the pasting me and NL gave the poor OP. Blush She was being VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV U though. Grin

I remember the coat one, the two falls one.
The oddest one was about someone who had no clothes but spent £100s on collectable dolls. Lots of Mners offered help but the op disappeared.

There was also the woman who let her child out of the pushchair in Wetherspoons, and got into an argument with another woman who didn't like being told to look out, she even followed her to her table to continue it.
She wouldn't accept she was being unreasonable at all, though nearly every poster told her she was.

InfestationofLannisters · 12/08/2011 19:58

I remember the Wetherspoons one!

Grin at youarekidding not being able to leave the thread. I've often wondered if there should be some sort of pinned MN "amnesty" thread on Saturday and Sunday mornings for general apologies when people wake up hungover feeling that they have been a bit harsh.
