It's out of control now and surely such Armed Forces as we have left should be getting right in there putting a stop to it? At the moment there is no reason at all for restraint. I'm shocked - and I lived through the '76 riots in Johannesburg.

The Army can stay wherever they currently are. What we need is a police force empowered to deal with it and maybe that will be a good side effect from this. Plus the Mayor of London can stick his idea to reduce police numbers where the sun doesn't shine. And as for Teresa May having the audacitgy to trot out all the uusal platitudes of respect, thanks, pride in poice officers, well how about showing that in a pay increase oh and leave the pension alone.
