to wonder why are we pussyfooting around and where's the Army ffs

It's out of control now and surely such Armed Forces as we have left should be getting right in there putting a stop to it? At the moment there is no reason at all for restraint. I'm shocked - and I lived through the '76 riots in Johannesburg.

I agree that they can't cope Tiredmum - it's obvious that they can't bloody cope. If you doubt that turn on the news channels then come back and say yeah, they're coping just fine.

How long til they work out that because the police all over are being deployed to London that the towns further out are attacked. Start praying for rain and lots of it.

dh has gone to bed muttering about the riot act and machine guns. He is now (thankfully) ex forces, but if they continue to burn Croyden, he and around 140 other people could well be unemployed tomorrow. And, as someone said earlier, all for ipods and chocolate bars Sad

Honey that is just it, how many people have lost their livelihood? and that is being lost in the midsts if all of this, the dawn of a new day will be the start of a nightmare of financial insecurity for a lot of families

Police have confirmed a non-fatal shooting of a man in Croydon. Nfd.

Also a SKY reporter phoning in disturbances in Ealing.
