then he shouldn't be able to think of a million things he needs/wants to do as soon as he is told it is bedtime? Hmm

my ds is always "staaaaaaaaaarving, so hungry muuuuuuum" as soon as i tell him its bed time

worraliberty · 08/08/2011 15:35

Kids make me laugh when they come out of school...

Mum: How was school?

Kid:

Mum: What did you learn?

Kid: Nothing

Mum: Did you do anything fun?

Kid: No

Then it gets to bedtime....

"Muuuum, guess what I did at school today? It was excellent!"

Hmm

My children only develop the ability to play together creatively and cooperatively after 7pm.

biddysmama · 08/08/2011 15:37

mine also needs to have a maaasive poo, as soon as i mention bedtime

rushofbloodtothefeet · 08/08/2011 15:39

So true biddysmama, bedtime is the greatest laxative known to man child

stealthsquiggle · 08/08/2011 15:39

That's great that he has so many ideas - so he can write a list at bedtime to make sure he has lots to do the next day Grin

happystory · 08/08/2011 15:40

And if they were genuinely genuinely bored, they could pass the time tidying their bedrooms....surely......

My son is a bit like this. He gets in from school and we have this conversaion:

me - "Hi! did you have a good day?"
him - "umm"
me - "what did you do?"
him - "dunno"
me - "Learn anything?"
him - "no"
me - "what did you do in Science?"
him - "can't remember"

later that night on facebook:

DS - "Science was hilarious today!"
friend - "omg I know! best lesson ever!"
DS - "I know! when we were doing that experiement with the onion and it sprayed in Lucy's eye! haha"
friend - "hahaha that was hilarious! or when Mr Brown was trying to explain onion skin cells and Tom asked if we could eat them! haha"

After seeing this I say:

"So! you had a good science lesson today then?"
ds - (shrugs) "it was alright"

Hmm
