... for some people to accuse others of 'bullying' or 'attacking' when they have their views disagreed with?

I've noticed a few threads on here in the last couple of days where anyone putting across a contrary view to the OP gets accused of being mean/bullying/personally attacking. I don't like it. Aren't people allowed to disagree anymore?

More to the point, I've noticed that some of the people complaining about 'bullies' are ganging up with each other to 'tell someone off' which comes across as a bit... well... bullying.

Yes, here2help, natch...addressbook, we will probably be mean and merciless about His Orangeness, so you'd probably rather give it a miss, I agree. Adieu!

CupcakesandTwunting · 06/08/2011 00:04

Bloody hell. I hope you've adjusted the brightness on your tele', BOF. Otherwise you'll have retina burn from St Pete's creosote coat.

I cannot watch it, I am in bed. But no matter, I can slag Chippy Ronseal without new fodder.

Hold on, is that racialism or bullying? Or cliquing? Am I multi-tasking?

CupcakesandTwunting · 06/08/2011 00:06

I am off to bed. DH is watching Mad Max and it's making me twitchy. That film gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Night Wolef Renegades. A-ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Can't be done, strikeout needs sorting.

MadameLupino · 06/08/2011 00:12

Aroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

BitOfFun · 06/08/2011 00:13

C o unty makes him look like a tube station.

HighWolefsteem · 06/08/2011 00:15

He's just a tube, no station. Or dignity, come to think of it. Neediness is so undignified.

MadameLupino · 06/08/2011 00:17

Mind the Gap.

He is a goon. And so not a Wolef.

HighWolefsteem · 06/08/2011 00:20

I bet he thinks he's an Alpha Male Wolef. He's wrong.

Only MrRBW is that :(

MadameLupino · 06/08/2011 00:22

He is the type to wear a Wolef tooth on a thong.

mum0ftw0 · 06/08/2011 00:23

In response to OP.
It's when people who have differing veiws to the OP get together and say things like 'I'd hate to live with you', 'you really are dumb', 'I feel sorry for your kids' etc
When those comments have no relevence to the subject, I think that IS bullying actually.

HighWolefsteem · 06/08/2011 00:27

No, it's being rude. Not bullying.

wolfyideas · 06/08/2011 07:46

I have to be honest mumOftwo, I've never seen comments like 'you're really dumb', 'I feel sorry for your kids' etc. I'm not saying they don't exist, but maybe I just haven't read those threads... However, if someone is talking about, say, a neighbour problem in AIBU I think it would be justifiable to say 'I'd hate to live next door to you...'

OP: I've erected an 10 ft high fence which cuts out all the light to my neighbour's garden. AIBU?
Reply: YABU
OP: But I did it to prevent my 18 wolves escaping.
Reply: 18 wolves? YABU. Do you live in the middle of the country on a large estate?
OP: No. I live in a mid terrace in central Birmingham.
Reply: YABVU.

(... drip, drip...)
OP: And I erected a CCTV camera pointing at my neighbour's garden because I suspect her cat of shitting in my garden. She came round to complain about the camera, so I painted the fence with creosote so the smell would annoy the hell out of her and choke her children and - more to the point - because I didn't want her to WIN.
Reply: YABU. I would hate to live next door to you. Frankly you sound like a nasty twat bad neighbour...

You see, I've seen threads like that where someone would then shout 'Bully' and say 'Don't you know she has to keep wolves because she was brought up in a forest and she has a mortal fear of being attacked by moggies, you don't know the circumstances, you are such bullies...'

And then other people join in to defend OP and gang up on a particular poster. And that is what I'm complaining about.

Wolfy - I've seem a couple of posts saying 'you're really dumb' and 'I feel sorry for your kids'
but I like your 18 wolves in the garden thread. A good example of a lot of threads on AIBU.

mum0ftw0 · 06/08/2011 08:28

Wolfy that sounds reasonable, it's when people get personal when there's no relevence to the topic, it's a bit like wtf.

Speaking of Wolfies, I'm getting a 5 foot fence out front for my Wolfie. But railings so it doesn't block off light to next door.
