Staples/crap under keys.

Keyboard not plugged in properly.

I had this on my laptop. Turned out that the membranes under the keys were damaged (apparently they are quite sensitive.

So I have a USB keyboard plugged in. It's not exactly compact and convenient but at least I have a C,M,B,V and space bar!

I pressed a key accidentally I have never seen before yesterday, num lk, and spent the best part of an hour trying to work out why my keyboard was typing numbers. In desperation, I typed 'why 5s 0y 2eyb6ard wr6ng 'into Google and I found lots of other people had done the same thing. Perhaps that would help?

Otherwise, it's usually biscuit crumbs, and you need to prise off the keys very carefully, blow/wipe mess away, and stick them back on. Can be easier to turn it upside down and shake.

Guess what worked....

Mine does this I turn it off and on again .

It really does fix everything!

What was really weird though is that the keys worked in the google toolbar but nowhere else.

I was C&P everything for about 2 hours until I tried turning it off.
