struggling to find a job, have applied everywhere since graduating, even basic jobs which I'm very over qualified for but still not getting anywhere.

About a month ago I jokingly said to OH that I should just get pregnant and live off benefits money. But as time goes by my exhausted stressed brain is telling me that I NEED money, so just now is as good a time as any to have a baby. If I'm not working anyway I might as well have a baby.

Deep down I know I'm being unreasonable, but if no one else wants me I might as well. I know I want kids, and soonish, as in next couple of years, but just thought I wouldget a job first.

Basically I need someone to tell me to snap put of it and carry on looking for a job, but there's only so many CVs I can send out without wanting to give up.

misty tax credit people say no (don't work enough hours for a start and they won't increase my hours), they also said it wasn't their problem and so what if I ended up sleeping on the street, Council homeless team say they will only rehouse me if I have more money to pay for it and I should get of my backside and get a better paid job, trust me its not from lack of trying.

OP if you have only just graduated I would consider leaving your degree off your CV for certain jobs, then you won't be considered over qualified, it should help you get something. I have considered leaving my degree off. Problem is when I graduated the job situation in my field was OK and I worked in jobs that I could not have had if I had not had my degree. When you add studying and those jobs together I cannot account for 16 years Confused. I also feel old now. If you have just graduated you have the advantage of not having as big a gap to explain IYSWIM.

Believe me OP I don't dream of a life on benefits I dream of a job that would keep my head above water. I am no longer fussy, the first few months I only applied for jobs in my field then I expanded to everything. I don't even want to be wealthy, just a roof over my head, some sort of food on the table and to be able to see my dc.
