... thus providing even more advertising for Disney.

worraliberty · 28/07/2011 19:38

The link doesn't work and I'm a bit funny about clicking FB links anyway (too many viruses)

What's it about and what's being donated?

AuntiePickleBottom · 28/07/2011 19:38

i really don't think disney needs more advetising

Is this the great ormond street fundraising thing - Disney donate money for people sharing their memories of Disney?

worraliberty · 28/07/2011 19:41

I think you're really going to have to explain a bit more OP Smile

cheesetoastie · 28/07/2011 19:41

Sorry, your working link wasn't there when I posted. It's to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (and advertise Disney)

AuntiePickleBottom · 28/07/2011 19:43

scottishmummy, i really should of said what it is about.

when 1 million memories are shared, Disney will donate £1 million to Great ormond street hospital

Why can't they just donate 1 million pounds without people having to spread the word about them and so promoting their name?

Whatmeworry · 28/07/2011 20:02

Why can't they just donate 1 million pounds without people having to spread the word about them and so promoting their name?

Because then no one will promote their name, like is happening here on MN :o

Load of bollocks.

Do the memories have to be good ones?

I was miserable at Disney in Orlando - but don't really want to post my bad memories in case they jeopardise the money for GOS.

Whodidwhat · 28/07/2011 20:20

What's the problem with advertising Disney? It's not like it's a particularly controversial company is it? A million pounds to a fantastic charity seems worth it to me.

flyingspaghettimonster · 28/07/2011 20:45

think I should post about going there after a dodgy kfc meal as a kid and throwing up over a bunch of people at one of the shows... then mum shouting 'turn your head!' so I turned and puked on the ones behind as well...
