To get rid of all my old bras?

DD is 11 months old and my first baby. I was a bit of a skinny minnie before pregnancy but now am a stone heavier. Tonight I cleared out a whopping 18 too-small bras of 32A that I no longer fit into. AIBU to get rid of them all - I know BreastTalk.uk want donated bras - or will my boobs eventually shrink back to their previous teeny size and I'll be needing them again? I'm still breastfeeding but only twice a day their not engorged with milk or anything anymore

My boobs survived having DC's and I'm back to slim and fit but my rib cage has never gone back to it's original size. All my old bra's had to go.

I suggest you hang on to anything Agent Provocateuresque and stick them in a 'vintage' box for the benefit of your (soon to be!) teenage dd - they'll have curiosity value for her even if she can't wear them.

Ditch the rest as it's unlikely that you'll go back to 32A this side of Christmas and it's always fun to buy frillies.

It's a capital idea but I don't think eBay allow the sale of used underwear, although I believe there may be ways to circumvent the thought police.

Ebay does allow the sale of used bras, although they should be washed. I have seen adverts for used knickers. tights and shoes which say that they will definitely be washed but that'll take some time so do let them know if you're in a hurry - ew!

Oxfam will welcome yer old bras - let 'em go!
There's a great bra shortage in many developing countries - they're like gold dust.
Let 'em go, let 'em go, let others benefit - and treat yourself to lovely new ones as and when!

A work of bra art is a lovely idea... but better to just get them of yer chest, since it seems your cups runneth over.

I'm very surprised that anyone wants used bras (any legitimate organisation that is, I'd be prepared to believer there's an old man in a mac somewhere wanting one).

I have a similar dilemma - what to do with a used breast pump. I don't intend to ever need to use it again, but can't think of anyone who'd want one second hand. It's an Avent manual one, so not particularly valuable. Any ideas anyone?

Keep 2 just in case, and ditch the rest. (Can you tell I'm a hoarder? Smile)

I have loads still hanging around so would be interested to know what organisations want them. Not sure I can bring myself to google Breast Talk UK!

I once happened upon a listing for used knickers - 'madam' described how they were laundered with her own fair hands, dried in the sunshine of her sweet-smelling orchard, pressed by her maid, and driven in her convertible BMW to the local P.O.

Yeah, too right more like a service wash using Tesco's bog-standard biological in the local laundromat and straight into the nearest mail box but, even so, the hype was such that I felt like asking the seller if they took in washing - I was prepared to post my smalls off on a weekly basis.

The bidding for a pair of old drawers was silly money. Definitely enough to convince me I'm in the wrong business.

Oh my Ragwort I own at least 30 sets not including the basics t-shirts bras etc

I would get rid of them all if they do shrink down you can always buy new ones but I don't know any boobs used for breast feeding that have gone back that small Xx

Boosmaw I have seen second hand breast pumps for sale on gumtree or similar.

I think I would not want to buy such a personal item second hand but its possible there's a market? Freecycle also might bring forward some takers who are short of cash but need a breast pump?

Chuck them all out and go and get remeasured for some lovely new ones. I was amazed how much my boobs had changed 8 months after having a baby, and I didn't breastfeed. It's a good excuse to go shopping ;) Oh and Boosmaw, I have seen quite a few used breast pumps for sale on various internet sites. See how much you can get for it!

Keep the two nicest ones.

I went from 34b pre baby to 36C/D whilst feeding.

After which my boobs shrank to an alarming 34A for a bit, before, a year after stopping breastfeeding, I was back at a 34B again.

Boobs are odd, they should come with a warning saying: Sizing can go up as well as down. Anything is possible. So keep the two best ones.

Overseas aid charities are always looking for bras because they're the kind of thing that it's pretty hard for women to make/fix up themselves what with the underwires and stuff.

If you go to your local recycling point if you are lucky there might be a bra box next to the general textiles box.

But yes, def keep your faves in case you go back to your old size
