Facebook status: 'my little girl is walking! With a little help, but she's doing it! :) i'm a really proud mummy!'

She is 5 months old. Cannot sit. Cannot roll. Cannot crawl. Cannot
Bumshuffle.

FFS she can't bloody walk either!

Ok I know I'm being mean but we've been subjected to ridiculous status updates such as this for 5 months now!
Maybe I'm jealous as my DD only just started to walk at 1 year.

I must admit I do get a strange sense of pleasure out of reading her updates. Do I need therapy?!

Call my cynical but I suspect the Mother is totally innocent in all this and it is infact the 5 month old baby typing the status updates Grin

Also call me cynical Blush

What a stupid thing to put! Doesn't she realise that everyone will laugh at her?! My ds started walking at nine months but I didn't feel the need to advertise it!

CaptainNancy · 25/07/2011 23:41

I love the way you've nc'd for this Grin

hairfullofsnakes · 25/07/2011 23:41

I don't believe that bruffin. Standing up and a slight cruise yes, not a walk.

wigglesrock · 25/07/2011 23:43

God, I'm a bit scundered, my 5 month old took the piss out of her Dad today by throwing toys at his head and I thought that was a bit advanced Blush, thank feck I don't do Facebook, would have made a right tit of myself.

worraliberty · 25/07/2011 23:43

I wouldn't have believed it either if my friend's DD wasn't walking at 6 months and I mean totally unaided Shock

She's not Italian though Grin

Having early walkers isn't that much fun - I wanted DS3 (my fourth and definately last baby) to stay a baby for ever as long as possible. Instead by 26 weeks, he's crawling round my front roon, ripping holes in my sofa cushions (!), poking his fingers into the Wii, and trying to pull himself up. I can feel my hair turning grey from the effort of keeping up with him. Not as young and fit as I was 13 yrs ago.
