to think it rather strange that fans are leaving tributes of alcohol and cigarettes outside Amy Winehouse's flat?

InTheNightKitchen... Except that you feel able to make the decision on behalf of her loved ones, that despite them saying the tributes have helped, in fact they don't know their own minds and would rather not have the cigarettes or alcohol.

But what else can Amy Winehouse's parents say? As usual, the 'devastated' public have to show their grief sadness in an attention-seeking and highly prominent manner. That's what some people like to do, they feel it is their right to do it. Fair enough, there are no laws stopping them but some people do not think it is right. I don't, I think it's mawkish and tasteless.

Filthy - clearly I do not have access to toxicology reports. You are right!

However, I do (like everyone else) have access to Youtube footage of poor Amy blitzed off her head and getting booed off stage in Belgrade. I have access (like you) to her dad's anguish in telling how it was simply a matter of time before she died due to her lifestyle. I have access (again, like the rest of the world) to recent pictures of her checking into rehab in an attempt to overcome the grip these things had on her life.

And in this context, were I her mother or father, I would find these tributes reminding me of the car crash that my DD's life had become, more than a little painful.

How is that difficult to understand? Under the circumstances, would you not find it so too???
