Im ill and DP hasnt helped out because hes tired

Ive been quite ill the last week, a cold and fever on mon/tues and then on weds it escalated to sickness and diarrhea so I think it could be a mild flu. Im still ill today and going to the docs.

DP had an event weds night with work that he couldnt get out of, so I looked after the baby as best I could (Mum couldnt help out)

Then last night he comes home and falls asleep. I said 'please help me, I dont really want to touch much of the babys things incase I infect him, I could be contagious.'

And he said : 'I CANT HELP IT IF IM TIRED'

AIBU to be spitting mad??? He left me one night (which was fine as he couldnt help it) and then on a night he could be helping with our DS because Im poo-ing everywhere, hes bloody sleeping! And then making out like Im BU?!

I should mention hes a teacher. So he's off today, he can sleep in.

If you have been looking after the baby then Unfortunatly if you are going to pass it on you will have so the not touching things now I can't see making much difference.

However, that doesn't change the fact he should still be helping out.

Have no suggestions I'm afraid, but I know exactly where you're coming from. Sending you huge un-MN hugs. D&V saps you and your DP is being a selfish dick.

My dh went out for lunch and then drinks with friends to celebrate my birthday. I was supposed to go (obviously) but had d&v. He left me looking after ds3, 8 months, and didn't come home until the early hours. Ds3 is now 5 and i'm still going on about it.

I know where you are coming from! I hope you have a better day today. Can you ask dp to have the baby while you have a sleep today?

I have never felt so ill!! Totally drained me 4 days!!
Luckily 4 me my DP was off work 4 a few days so took all care of DD who was 10 months at the time.
Even if he was working, he told me that he would take time off work, as I was2 poorly 2 look after DD
He is a very good dad, she has been the making of him.
If I didn't have him I would of been really stuck
So yes, I do think ur OH is being totally unreasonable!! Kick his ass out of bed so you can have a bath/snooze - recharge ur batteries

He should be looking after the DC's if you're ill, and if it was your Birthday it should have been rescheduled for when YOU could go

I would kick him out of bed, make him take the kids out and start thinking of a way to apologise for being such a selfish arsehole

Pack an overnight bag and take yourself off to a cheap hotel for a day to sleep and recover or if money is tight and your parents are local/agreeable stay at theirs for a day or so. Text him from your sickbed once you are settled in, no need to give him your location though, don't want any visitors.

He is a teacher and doesn't have to be in work next week so take a couple of days if you can.

He will learn from this, trust me !
