Sister inlaw blocked me on facebook

scruffybird · 21/07/2011 15:57

I have just discovered that one of my sister inlaws have blocked me on facebook.
Feeling a little pissed off about it.
Would you rise above it and ignore or mention it?

Don't go on facebook

End of problem.

worraliberty · 21/07/2011 15:58

It all depends on how well I got on with her and the reason why I thought she blocked me.

Why do you think your SIL has blocked you?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 21/07/2011 15:58

How do you know she's blocked you?

LoonyRationalist · 21/07/2011 16:01

YABU - it is up to her who she has on facebook. I can see why anyone would not want friends & family to mix.

(I also agree with pink but thought I would try to be constructive ;) )

scruffybird · 21/07/2011 16:03

Because I was on my other sil profile and noticed that her name was on there as family, but could not see photo and could not click on her name.
Previously I just thought she had taken herself off facebook but now realise that is not the case

maybe your really annoying? with a 10 sec post by post blow of your life?

Tortington · 21/07/2011 16:05

or theres the passive agressive status

'you know who you are, and i'm not happy'

or
'wishes people would call me or visit me becuase i am so lonely and sad'

scruffybird · 21/07/2011 16:06

No I rarely post things on there. Just think it will be a bit awkward next time I see her. She has all other family on there.

It'd depend on why she did it really, I've recently removed one of mine because I don't trust her not to have given her log in details to another sister who I don't want looking at my fb or pics of my DCs. Quite frankly I prefer to try and avoid the dramaz of the in laws for my own sanity.

Tuggy · 21/07/2011 16:08

You can add people who arent on fb as family and it just shows a non clickable name and no photo. You're not blocked she just isn't on fb anymore

TragicallyHip · 21/07/2011 16:10

I think Tuggy might be right!

scruffybird · 21/07/2011 16:11

Oh....thanks Tuggy good job I'm not the overeacting Blush

thesunshinesbrightly · 21/07/2011 17:40

DizzyKipper · 21/07/2011 17:57

I had the same issue as scruffybird and have solved all fb problems using pink's method. Wink

SurreyDad · 21/07/2011 18:16

Bloody facebook. People take it too seriously.

issey6cats · 21/07/2011 19:36

my stepdaughter who lives with us unfriended me after a tiff funnily enough it hasnt impacted my life in any way, mind you i would loved to have seen what names she called me lol

G1nger · 21/07/2011 19:42

I got so fed up with her whinging updates that I blocked my sister!

DoNotDisturb · 21/07/2011 20:03

I blocked my sil from seeing my updates as she tells my mil everything and mil would then use the info negatively..

prudaloo · 21/07/2011 20:07

Can't imagine why anyone over 20 bothers with the thing!

brass · 21/07/2011 20:14

if she had blocked you, you wouldn't even see her name.

she must have high privacy settings.

brass · 21/07/2011 20:16
