To wonder how a whole town can have a power cut

and it not feature on any local news?

The bbc news were on strike yesterday.
Maybe that is why?

They were weren't they! Would love to know if anyone even noticed!! Was more thinking of local news.

How long was the power off for?

Over an hour in our bit - longer elsewhere. Bear in mind this is the third biggest town in the country.

I am not sure, perhaps it will get mentioned in the next paper?
