To own 30 pairs of shoes?

DH thinks I am. Some are old vintage and the list includes flipflops/trainers etc. So am I a shoe-holic or average? It would be useful to know for future arguments discussions with DH.

You need LOADS of flip flops. I you dont you might not be able to co ordinate the right ones with your outfit

Just been upstairs about 70 pairs and some in the lock up so prob about 15 more! Unnecessary even I admit that.

Am too scared to count mine... 30 sounds modest to me! I def have a problem, far more shoes than I could ever need a lot still brand new but many of them sales bargains. In my head I live a very different life to reality where I need hundreds of pairs of beautiful high heels (which I struggle to walk in!) and dresses but in reality live in jeans and flats [Embarrassed]

Just done a rough count of the ones currently in favour - about 40.

I won't mention the ones in a box under the spare bed -and ones in spare wardrobe or loft-- if you don't!

Reckon I'm up there in the 100's. Still, my money, I earned it!

In terms of flip flops alone I have:

2 x white havianas
1 x narrow pink havianas
1 x black havianas
1 x silver cheapies - bought when went for pedi in pumps
1 x pale blue cath kidstons - bought when new shoes gave me blisters on shopping trip
1 x jewelled pink from next - got carried away when ordering bikinis
1 x jewelled blue from next - as above
1 x jewelled silver from accessorise - gift from sis
1 x gold with green stones from acessorise - another gift from sis
1 x bronze beaded from acessorise
1 x blue perlescent snake skin

In my defence I do live somewhere hot.

God knows how many other shoes I have, but they have their own wardrobe.

I have one pair of stripey blue/white FFps I bought to stop spreading my veruccas at the swimming pool .

But, how do any of you manage to find 30+ pairs of shoes which actually fit?? If I could find gorgeous shoes the right size and width I would be giving tobylerone a run for her (high heeled) money

YANBU, I think I've got about 40 pairs. Many of them I don't wear very often but there's always that one event/wedding/party/christening/holiday that you'll need them for - and it saves you buying a new pair when that event comes up, so tell you DH that you're actually saving money by having so many shoes Wink:

I have loads, some are on a rack downstairs by the back door, at a guess I would say ten pairs on there. Then I have about at least another 30 littered at the bottom of the wardrobe and then possibly about another 10 in boxes on a shelf in the wardrobe.

YANBU Ive bought four pairs in the last month 2 new pairs of flip flops one pair was £30 which I htought was expensive but they are nice and two pairs of wedges which I think will rarely see the light of day but I liked them .
I think Im at about 15 pairs of shoes now but need some new winter boots knee highs can anyone recommend ?

Does anyone also have a handbag fetish? I do I love handbags Ive got about 50 bags I need to de-clutter but I always keep them 'just in case'

sweetness I buy all my winter boots at Moda in Pelle lovely stuff. Although let's see how I get on in my favoured 4 inch heels this winter with a 4 month old!
And... Oh no... They've got a sale on. Luckily I start my maternity leave next week and can have stuff delivered without DH ever knowing :)

I have 'lost' a favoured pair of converse, that I wanted to wear to a concert tonight. See I have too many as dh would say. Grrrrr

I did have a handbag fetish too however I had to give that up and concentrate on really lovely leather ones instead of a million ones I bought from topshop and the like..so now I dont buy as many-maybe two a year but they are more expensive so it works out about even. All my shoes and dp's shoes are in the eaves of our house..the shoe room...well cupboard..in our loft conversion.
Jennil i like moda in pelle too and they have a great sale for my big huge feet..size 8.
Out of curiousity- what kind of shoes do you have for those with less shoes. I'd love to downsize my shoes and see if I could survive one a few pairs..I wouldnt chuck any out..but just as an experiment?? CHallenge Clarabumps!!

I have 60 pairs of shes, that does not include boots.

I have 1 pair of shoes. one pair of boots (never worn but for slightly posher than scruffy casual) one pair of 5 pound beach shoes full of sand. 1 pair of flip-flops I use at my mums and one pair of flip flops i use if on holiday and one pair of wellies. 6 pairs. i think i missed the shoe and bag gene somewhere...

right I'm intrigued. Going to count mine - take it we are counting everything - flip,flops,trainers etc?

I only have 9 pairs of shoes (including trainers and flip flops) but only really wear 2 pairs.
OP is my role model and hope to have as many pairs someday
