Did Ebay give her my private number!? Really pissed off but it's probably my own fault. EBAY Could she have waited.

I am selling a wedding dress on ebay and it is unworn and in it's box so I didn't have a picture.

I found a picture on Google images and used it, I thought it was just a picture of the dress advertising it on another site and there was no copyright marks on the picture.

I had to go to hospital yesterday and get put on a monitor because my baby hadn't moved in 2 days. They were finding it hard to get a good trace and there was loads of decreases so I was nearly in tears with worry.

I got a phone call and ignored it as didn't want to answer in the ward, person wouldn't give up so I answered the call and asked them to call back and said I was in hospital. They wouldn't hang up and went on to ask where I got the picture from my ebay listing, I told her and she went on to tell me it was her in the picture. I said I would remove it but had to go, she kept going on about where I got the picture and I said I would remove it and hung up.

Came home to a message on ebay saying remove it or she will take legal action, I removed it immediately and replied to the message.

I have no idea how she got my phone number!? And I am fuming that she wouldn't hang up when I said I was in hospital.

I know I was wrong for using the picture but I didn't claim it was mines o even the same dress.

Am I being unreasonable? Should I have answered all of her questions while in hospital?

I'm feeling worried for you now too. Any luck yet? This constant worry is not on, you need someone to reassure you. Best place for you is under observation. Don't worry about bothering anyone, this is your baby's health and you need to get it sorted. x

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2011 12:42

He still hasn't moved.

I have drank a full can of ice cold fanta and have a bottle of water that has been in the freezer. I can feel where he is in my stomach and I can feel he is in the same position as he was when I woke up. Confused

Time to go in and have your mind put at ease me thinks. Good luck.....let us know how it goes.

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2011 12:55

I'm going to leave it 20 minutes and phone them again like she told me to. :)

My Gran is going crazy at me telling me to not let them fob me off.

Go in and get yourself checked-NOW!

Was in the same position with my DD, but had daily monitoring till went completely tits up, then quick trip to theatre, quick baby out, long time baby in SCBU, baby now 7yrs old :)

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2011 12:57

Happy I'm glad everything was okay in the end!

What happened with your DD if you don't mind me asking? it's just I don't really have anyone to compare circumstances to.

Baby not moving much for a couple of wks. Waters broke at 32wks. Was sent home as nothing happening...
Had to go in daily for monitoring from when baby had reduced her movements. Then they said on a Tuesday, oh, we'll see you Friday Shock By Wednesday, no movement at all. Went in, MW thought was being a drama queen, told me to stop crying and she'd put a monitor on, then I'd to go home and do as told! Monitor on, MW "Oops, let's get Dr shall we?" DD tachycardic, no dips or elevations. Put on drip to force things along. Drip too high, placental abruption, crash section......la la la!
Am so so so glad I went in and made a bit of a scene, else she wouldn't be here now.
It's really worth hassling them as babies are too precious...
Good luck :)

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2011 13:10

They want me to come back in ASAP.
I will get ready and head there now.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

Oh dear god! You had a really hard time. :( Thank you for telling me.

I'm going in right now and they are putting me back on the monitor.

Good luck, ask them to scan the cord, and area around his neck, just in case the cord is wrapped around there. 2 of mine had reduced fetal movements due to cord around neck. DC5 was a bit of an emergecy situation in the end, it would have been better to know what was causing the problems earlier on.

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2011 14:47

I'm on my phone hooked up to a monitor just now. Thanks five.

Just wanted to say good luck with the monitoring, hope baby is okay.

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons · 14/07/2011 15:26

Good luck from me too, SM. Thinking of you.

TheRhubarb · 14/07/2011 16:13

Good luck wishes here too, do let us know how you get on.

Poweredbypepsi · 14/07/2011 17:31

Just wanted to say good luck hope everything's ok. My second dc was a lazy little things to had many scares finally delivered at 35 weeks but all ok in the end :)

Orbinator · 14/07/2011 17:53

I had a company I bought a new bed from call my Dad yesterday!

I left negative/average feedback as when it was delivered there was just one poor (and very midget-esque - looked like a tiny ginger leprechaun) sod tasked to carry the whole super king bed - 2 divan parts and a huuuuge mattress up my path alone from his van. I'm over 39 weeks pg and had expected at least 2 guys able to take it upstairs to the bedroom. Of course when I asked he looked at me as though I was a moron and explained he was on his own and there was no way. I said I wasn't surprised and he should be paid extra for having to do it alone, even though it obv put me in a spot. Had to wait 2 days for lovely friends to be free to come over and drag it upstairs for me. To top it off there were no holes for the wheels to screw into and the 2 divan parts don't interlock in any way.

However the thought of going through it all over again is simply exhausting for me, so I just thought i'd leave the feedback and get on with it. I can live wihtout wheels and the mattress is heavy enough to weigh down the two parts.
So when I got the email from my Dad yesterday asking me to call them back (on a mob number, I might add! As if I'd call a premium line to complain?!) I had to wonder where the hell they had got his number from too. I think I set up my account when I had just got back from travelling in my late 20's and must have used his home number in some account set up page...
Going to investigate now actually. Sorry for long post. Figured you had prb had enough of people telling you off for using the pic anyway! It was bloody annoying for me too and I just wanted to say I share in your feeling of invaded space.

Hope all goes well with your birth :)

larrygrylls · 15/07/2011 09:45

Any news, Schrodinger

TheRhubarb · 15/07/2011 11:21

She's probably still undergoing tests, I'm not sure if they allow you to use your mobile in hospital?

Thinking of you and hoping all is well x

SchrodingersMew · 15/07/2011 15:03

Hi, sorry I took so long to get back. My phone cut out and had been with my DP to go visit his GM in hospital and then out with family.

The MW said that everything was fine and that he probably is moving I just can't feel him because he's still so small. Hmm Wasn't sure if I totally bought this because when he does move my stomach looks like it's doing a friggin mexican wave. (I didn't get to see a Doctor this time)

She also told me that the icy drink thing is a load of crap and there's no way that can affect making the baby move (this annoyed me as that's what they told me to do and wait at least an hour after I had done it before I went in), if that doesn't make a difference why waste at least an hour by telling someone to do that when their baby could be in danger?

Also, she asked me for a urine sample and to leave it in the bathroom and when I was discharged I went to the bathroom and it was still bloody there unmoved. Angry

Anyway, I got a couple of movements while on the monitor and a couple last night.

OP posts:
larrygrylls · 15/07/2011 15:25

Glad to hear it :). I don't think the cold drink thing is "a load of crap". Always worked for us.

I still think you should be getting more movements and you should def keep a close eye going forwards.

SchrodingersMew · 15/07/2011 15:32

Thanks Larry, she said it was because where your stomach is and how it would never be anywhere near the baby.
I must say, it hasn't worked for me but yesterday she said that if I want to get him to kick I can put my hand on my stomach and tap on top of my hand and he will tap back as it causes a ripple in the waters, she done this and it didn't work.

I'm just getting confused now because they said the day before that I'm probably feeling him less because he will be getting bigger and will have less room and then yesterday saying he's probably too small to feel him. Confused
