thinking ahead, maybe they should provide a shuttle service also, as some kids are going to struggle with walking that kind of distance after a diet like this for any period of time

Even if it ONLY led to a McDonalds (not also a RESIDENTIAL AREA) surely they shouldn't be required to risk life and limb as punishment for choosing an unhealthy lunch? Sounds like they're walking the route regardless.

In DSS school, leaving the premises at lunchtime/breaks without permission is a disciplinary issue because it presents Health and Safety problems. When I was at school, many moons ago, we were not allowed to leave the premises either.

OK, let's make this McDonalds safe, can someone also make safe my pedestian access to my nearest shops, actually can someone make safe actually being a pedestrian, you know, some traffic lights and crossings at sensible places so that people can actually walk from A to B without risking life and limb.

This is my little hometown! So proud it's hitting the headlines for the right reasons.

I thought they were bringing out a law where there couldnt be any takeaways within a certain distance from a school.

I can see why the headteacher wants it if the kids are going regardless but it is stupid. McDonalds should just refuse to serve school kids.

Actually all the school has to do is keep the kids in at lunch and go cash free in their own canteen.
