It isn't darling, it's a lovely ol chat. The raison d'etre for its creation and existence is the couple of Foamers on the Fem Board. But the reason is not the only content under discussion.

I wish you could feel the love. But I said all this last time. You don't want any, do you?

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:12

Would a daisy chain help at all?

Pagwatch · 05/07/2011 10:13

Actually no I haven't slagged off the feminist section. I think lots of other posters haven't either.

I would like to be involved in a feminist section. Some of us are just articulating why we find it difficult.

We don't all have agendas.

TrillianAstra · 05/07/2011 10:13

I haven't read all the thread but one thing just jumped out at me:

What is "the MN brand of feminism"?

I don't think there is one. That's like saying that all MNers wear Boden and only feed their children organic things from Waitrose and only enter M&S to laugh at Per Una. It's just not the case - it may not even be the majority.

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:14

Yeah but they do, don't they Trills?

Oh god, is the whole morning going to be one illusion shattered after another?

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:15

What about a nice dandelion?

Later dh is going to make chard fritters. Imagine. We know how to live.

Dandelion, Lenin? Chard fritter?

Niecie · 05/07/2011 10:18

I'm not the slightest bit worried about your credibility, Dittany.

I'm just a bit tired of you attacking other women for having a different opinion to you and when they do, you writing them off as anti-feminist. Anti your version of feminism maybe but in the same way I couldn't care less about your credibility I couldn't care less about your opinions on who and who is not a feminist. It isn't for you to decide nor is it for you to say that another woman isn't allowed to post a perfectly valid point on a feminism thread.

I am late for a sandwich making session with 20 toddlers now so excuse me if I don't engage with you any more.

Yes, it is love. Because you clearly feel that it is you against the world and I want you to relax and accept comradeship, humour and love and not feel you have to fight all the time. People might not absolutely agree with you, but you know what, that's ok. You don't have to be a-haranguing all the time.

Ah, sadly just endless repetition of a point isn't enough to make it true.

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:23

You see? You can't recognise love. That is so sad.

This thread is by people who are upset that their misogynistic views were criticised in a Feminist Section.

No, this thread is by people upset that they were called misogynist when expressing their views and concerns re a young lad and innocent until proven guilty.

Agghhhhhhhhhhhh I'm being sucked back into the vortex...

I learnt last tiem it was fruitless. Dittany, I can offer you nothing but daisy chains, I can't beat my head on the wall another minute.

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:26

Would that it were that simple my little Leninlet.

Bennifer · 05/07/2011 10:29

Dittany,

I'm assuming you know what misogynistic means - it means hatred of women. Can you not see how offensive it is to describe so many of the women who are posting on this thread who feel uncomfortable in the feminism section as women haters?

Hullygully · 05/07/2011 10:30

She'll say she called their views misogynistic, not them

And we'll go round and round and round like last time.

Not me.
